If anyone comes across this video now that Crash 4 is on the horizon: You may watch this video but let me warn you that it is not well scripted or thought out. Many of the reasonings I briefly present in the video are not thoroughly presented had some controversial takes - easy to tell by the like/dislike ratio) and my current ranking and reasonings would very much differ from the ones in the video. Keep in mind, that when you want to comment, that this video came out before we even saw a glimpse of the N. Sane Trilogy, so neither it nor CTR Nitro-Fueled (or Crash 4 for that matter) could have been part of the video. If you are interested in some Crash content that has been created with way more care, then feel free to watch some of my stuff and/or subscribe. I am working on several things at the time of me writing this comment. And if you do want to watch this video nonetheless - feel free. Just wanted to have this lil' disclaimer here in case many people come across this video due to Crash 4 hype.
I heard so many "story doesn't make sense" or "terrible story". Let's get one thing straight. These are platform/racing games, not story games, platformers/racing games are made to have challenging levels and have fun gameplay. Like seriously, let's think about it. How many times you see someone for example buy Mario Kart 8 for a "good story"? Or buying a game where you play as a bandicoot jumping on boxes and collecting fruit for a story game? The only story you'd get, is that bandicoots love fruits. And that Mario loves go karts.😂 Instead criticize these games by how they run, level design, the gameplay, how repetitive it is, or how creative/unique it is.
I know it's not the focus but dropping just a quick lime regarding the plot should be no sin. Regardless how unimportant it may be in the grand scheme of things, I at least expect it to be somewhat consistent with the universe the franchise is set in.
Justin Hensley what's better than a good platforming game? A platforming game with a good story? Can't go wrong with making something good even better!
Shit controls and cheap AI which may be just 2 things but they take up the whole game, every time I've played it I stop around the 3rd/4th warp room because it stops being fun and that fucking Big Bad Fox and those gem/crystal challenges are almost completely luck-based.
wow learning the patterns and how the so called luck-based attack it can be completed easy and after you defeat wall you wont have to redo the wall just the tank fight
While the idea for the video is nice, when your recurring complaint for games that have literal gallons of things to complain about it "the story makes no sense..." with a whole lot of awkward pausing like you can't think of anything else to say, well. It wears out its welcome fairly quickly. - Lewis
Man you must be kidding me. My list: 1. Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped (Best soundtrack ever) 2. Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex strikes back 3. Crash Bandicoot 1 4. Crash Team Racing
Honestly as much as I like twinsanity I think crash 2 and 3 are much better games than it. Also How is CTR bad because it's not a platformer? Are you high mate- That's like saying the same thing about Mario kart.
Crash twinsanity is awesome just the only con to that game is it is too short 12 levels (overworld doesn't count) is way too short for crash standards. But taking that away crash twinsanity always keeps the levels fresh and new unlike crash 1-3 where your just like same level theme but a different level design and few changes " Also the humor on crash twinsanity is perfect They're not cheesy and try to be like the "kids" of today which many platformers of 2010-2017 just do. And lastly the crash doesn't feel slippery and platforming just fun . Crash 1-2 are awesome and true classics tho but crash 3 just kills it for me for having too much vehicles and them all ( except pura's levels) being boring and have really have nothing to do with platforming
Nutty The Crazy Squirrel "Nuttyshi" Yeah this guy has no fucking idea what he's talking about especially because mind over mutant was so high. Btw I did like titans ds. Super fun loved it as a kid
Worst: Crash Boom Bang (GBA) Crash Mind Over Mutant (DS) Crash of the Titans (GBA) OK: Crash of the Titans (Xbox 360) Crash Bandicoot Fusion (GBA) Crash Bandicoot XS (GBA) Good: Crash Mind Over Mutant (Xbox 360) Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex (Xbox) Crash Bash (PS1) Great: Crash Bandicoot N trance (GBA) Crash Nitro Kart (Xbox) Crash of the Titans (DS) Awesome: Crash Team Racing (PS1) Crash Tag Team Racing (PS2) Crash Bandicoot (PS1) Best: Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped (PS1) Crash Twinsanity (Xbox) Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back (PS1)

I grew up on crash bash it was my first ever party game and my 4th crash game (others being crash 2, 3 and team racing I didn't play the original as a kid)
I love Twinsanity. It took me forever to beat it at 100% because the second snowboard level the blue gem was hard to get. I love TTR and Wrath of Cortex.
For me, Crash 4 wasn't _that_ awful, it just didn't feel like a Crash game. It just seemed like a repeat of Crash 3, like Universal Interactive couldn't think of anything new :/
The Problem isn't that it didn't feel like Crash, the problem is that it was flawed as fuck. I could give you a million reasons on why the game sucks ass.
My top 5: 5.Crash Bandicoot the wrath of cortex 4.Crash Bandicoot 1 3.Crash Bandicoot 2 Cortex strikes back 2.Crash Twinsanity 1.Crash Bandicoot 3 Warped
Wrath of Cortex is pretty underrated when compared to how overrated Twinsanity is. Twinsanity is practically an unfinished game, and people complain about the vehicle levels in TWoC when the vehicle levels in Warped were pretty terrible, at least imo
Crash Twinsanity, mind over mutant and titans are my absolutely favorite and i don't understand why people hate the Titans game it was really good in my opinion
Wrath of Cortex is my favorite, the soundtrack, the levels, bosses. Everything. Right behind that is Tag Team Racing, me and my stepbrother would play that game days on end.
@@ultrairrelevantnobody1862 well breaking lotsa boxes is totally fun and satisfying but a lot of the levels in that game don't have many boxes and oh idk, *THEY'RE EXTREMELY HARD!*
20. Crash Boom Bang 19. Crash Tag Team Racing 18. Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart 3D 17. Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart 2 16. Crash Bandicoot Fusion 15. Crash: Mind Over Mutant (Console versions) 14. Crash Of The Titans (Console versions) 13. Crash Of The Titans (DS version) 12. Crash: Mind Over Mutant (DS version) 11. Crash Bandicoot The Huge Adventure/XS 10. Crash Nitro Kart (Console versions) 9. Crash Bandicoot 2: N-Tranced 8. Crash Nitro Kart (GBA version) 7. Crash Bash 6. Crash Bandicoot The Wrath Of Cortex 5. Crash Bandicoot (Original/first entry) 4. Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back 3. CTR: Crash Team Racing 2. Crash Twinsanity 1. Crash Bandicoot (3) Warped (Totally has nothing to do with the first game I ever played, not at all) Okay I will admit, I didn't play the mobile games since I don't even have an iOS device so I'm putting them considerably low on the list.
There was so many "story doesn't make sense" and "terrible story"s, it gets me upset. So of those games I really liked. Number 15, for example, I really LOVE that game. I play it almost every day. Also Crash of the Titans, I like the game a lot.
GUYS IMAGINE IF VICARIOUS VISIONS DECIDES TO REMASTER/REMAKE CRASH TWINSANITY WITH TOTALLY NEXT GEN GRAPHIS AND ADD ALL THE DELETED AND CONCEPT ART THAT WAS CUT FROM THE GAME!
And, to contribute to my other long ass comment/rant, here's my short list, starting with the best as first. 1. CTR (no cart racing game comes even close; prove me wrong) 2. Warped (a lot of variety, vehicles didn't bother me as much, better aesthetics than prequels, platin relics/developer times) 3. Cortex Strikes Back (a lot of secrets, way smoother gameplay than prequel) 4. Twinsanity (rated from memory; new and interesting approach, unique and fun gameplay, best soundtrack, would be higher if it was finished) 5. Crash Bandicoot (I don't really like it this much, but I gotta give a couple of extra points since it was the first of the series and introduced everything) Honorable mentions: - Crash Tag Team Racing (main focus is not really on racing, but racing was kinda alright, rest of the game was fun nontheless, really enjoyed the theme park/open world thing they were going for) - Crash Bash (a lot of challenge to the game, and while it can be really frustrating, I think it really shines when played with a second played)
+Dr. Florence I like how unlike anybody else in this comment section you can actually argument your opinion. But come on man, what about Crash of the Titans? CTTR had some very shitty platforming. Also, Crash 3 is too flawed to be better than Crash 2. Crash 3 had too much vehicles and only about 2 of them were good. Like, trying to get the gem on those jet ski levels was a pain in the ass. It also implemented the relics which in my opinion didn't work well with the context of the patience designed levels of Crash. It also had far less secrets and the death routs themes were all pretty much the same, same thing for the bonus themes.
1. Jet Ski definitely did blow donkey cock. 2. Idk but I just like it more. Maybe it's a nostalgia thing for me, since I played it the most as a kid, but still, I also played Crash 2 back then. I really love all the hidden things in Crash 2, but like with all secrets you lose quite a bit of interest in them once you find out about them. I love Crash 3 for the challenge that time trial brings. It is very frustrating at times, indeed, but it also gives a huge feel of accomplishment when you are finally able to beat a developer time on that one level you tried so long on. Also, I think that Crash 3 being more aesthetically pleasing is quite a big deal for me. As I said (I think I said it, too lazy to read my post on) I find Crash 2 looking a bit to muddy, while Crash 3 is colorful and exciting. Probably also due to the variety in levels and their backgrounds. And the Main Warp Room just feels a lot nicer to be around than in Crash 2. I actually haven't played Titans or Mutants (except for a couple of hours, years ago at my cousins place) so I don`t want to give an opinion on them. I haven't played them yet, so I can't say how good they are. For all I know, they could be the very best or the very worst of the franchise. CTTR's platforming didn't have the challenge and excitement that the original games had, but it was, well fun. For me anyway. I really like the concept of the amusement park/open world thing, where you search for the tracks to race on. Also it had some secrets you had to look around for. Overall a very fun game, and I have played through it more than once.
Dr. Florence Ok, I get what you are saying, but I think that challenge is good when it's legit, like CTR's Oxide Runs legit or Super Meat Boy legit. Most of the challenge of Warped for me comes from the bad design choice of combining Patience requiring platforming with time trials, and controls that make the level harder to control. In Crash 2 for example notice how there are 3 _water surf thing_ levels, notice how the only one that has platforms that require patience is also the only one where you don't have a clock over your head.
Damn just wrote a long comment but internet fucked up and it's lost. So, to make it quick. I didn't knew about that in Crash 2, seems like really good, intentional design. Crash 3 runs were dependant on the config you'd get, but you could in some cases manipulate it by just waiting before triggering the time trial, although that could also make mistakes even more punishing. I also noticed that games like CTR also have that, althoug it's mostly just boulders rolling left to right etc. But in CTR you have less control over it, since you can only skip the animation at the start of a track to change anything. CTR is best nontheless.

Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex 6. Crash Bash I've liked them all a lot so far though. Guessing I haven't played the worse ones yet...

ctr is one of my most played games of all time, and one of my favorites! Can't say I've played all the games on this list, but I want to now with the N. Sane game coming out.
Crash tag team was great with a friend locking with you and being a gunner. The humour was actually pretty good and the die-o-ramas were great to watch
My list: - Crash: Boom Bang! - Never played - Crash: Mind Over Mutant DS - Never played - Crash of the Titans GBA - Never played - Crash Nitro Kart GBA - Good - Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart 3D - Never played - Crash Bandicoot Nitro Kart 2 - Never played - Crash of the Titans DS - Never played - Crash Tag Team Racing - Good - Crash Bandicoot Purple - Never played - Crash Nitro Kart - Good - Crash Bandicoot: The Huge Adventure/XS - Okay - Crash Bandicoot: N-Tranced - Great - Crash Bandicoot 3: Warped - Amazing - Crash: Mind Over Mutant - Meh (got so lost, never beat it) - Crash Bandicoot 1 - Great - Crash Team Racing - Never played - Crash of the Titans - Great - Crash TwinSanity - Amazing - Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back. - Amazing - Crash Bandicoot: Wrath of Cortex - Favourite. It was the first playstation game I ever played, when I was 6, and it holds a special place in my heart, okay?? Put those pitch forks down now.
My list... I'm speaking as a biased 20 year old who played and replayed the first 5, especially Cortex Strikes Back and Warped. Wrath of Cortex was the first game I played on the ps2 and was awesome, but didn't quite have the same feel as the originals. The only ones I still go back to are 2 and 3. Warped was by far the best, in my opinion. 10. Crash Bandicoot: The Huge Adventure 9. Crash: Twinsanity 8. Crash Bandicoot: N-Tranced 7. Crash Nitro Kart 6. Crash Bash 5. Crash Bandicoot: The Wrath of Cortex 4. Crash Team Racing 3. Crash Bandicoot 2. Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back 1. Crash Bandicoot: Warped
How are a bunch of game boy versions better than Wrath of Cortex, and how is that shitty mind over mutant better than Crash 3 plus Twin Insanity was good, but to say it was better than Crash 3 is crazy.
Why do judge crash games on thier story? You expect a *racing* game to have a good story? Do you play Mario for the story? No. You don't. If you want story go play an RPG. Low-key you sound like you hate crash. SMH
Crash Twinsanity is My Favourite Crash Bandicoot Game, The Music in Twinsanity is Beautiful 😊 Twinsanity is a Special Treasure ❤️ My Life will be complete if Crash Twinsanity gets a Remake with all the cut content added in so it would be fully finished like it was suppose to be if it wasn’t heavily rushed 😌 Out of all the Crash Games, Crash Twinsanity is the most Special and Unique one to me ❤️
Were anyone else but me really frustrated with the all the waiting during loading screens in The Wrath of Cortex on PS2? Aaaaaaarrrghhh!!!! But it was a pretty awesome game :P
Finally someone who loves Twinsanity as much as I did! I hope they remaster it because they can add all of the cut content! Or a new Crash Bandicoot game similar to Twinsanity!
Crash 3: "Probably introduces time paradoxes" Who the hell plays and rates Crash games for their story? Level design, gameplay, music, scenery even characters are all fair enough to judge a platformer by, but these games are not story focused at all
Here, let's try this list. This is from a single-player completionist perspective, and I'm not including handheld versions of console titles. 14: Boom Bang 13: Crash Purple 12: Crash Bash (awesome multiplayer, just very difficult to 200%) 11: Crash of the Titans 10: Mind Over Mutant 9: The Wrath of Cortex 8: Tag Team Racing 7: Crash Bandicoot (only in this spot cuz it was so frustrating to beat) 6. N-Tranced 5: The Huge Adventure 4: Nitro Kart 3: Twinsanity 2: Crash Team Racing 1: TIE between Crash 2 AND Crash 3 (2 for the secrets and 3 for the super powers and perfecting the platforming mechanics) I might be a bit biased towards the VV titles, but I think they did a wonderful job capturing the gameplay formulas. Also Nitro Kart and Twinsanity just have so much CHARM, I love it.
I hate that nobody with IQ over 70 is allowed to purchase any Bandicoot games without their parents written permission "please allow my genius son to buy Bandicoot in yellow wrappers".
Not a bad list, I like to hear other peoples perspective on what they prefer and their insight on why they like/disliked certain games. I am still getting ready to prepared to play the games that aren't the Crash Trilogy, CTR, Crash Nitro Kart and Wrath of Cortex. But at the moment, my favourites are: 1) Crash Team Racing - Like you said, fast paced. I always feel absorbed in the game and the adrenaline is amazing. 2) Crash Bandicoot 2 - Probably for Nostalgic Reasons, but it was hard at times and challenged your skill. 3) Wrath of Cortex - Story aside, the gameplay and levels where great! 4) Crash Bandicoot - It's what got me in the series, of course I love it. 5) Crash Nitro Kart - Though I find the gameplay weird as a PS2 game, it is essentially CTR but more. Though the in-game animations can put me off.
Funny how you expect the games to have an ultra complex story, with huge concesecuenses in the "Canon" story line by every single choice made by the characters, also 3-dimentional characters with complex personalities when they are mostly just archetypes since like... ...ever. ALSO, funny how you complain about Of The Titans' glitches when Twinsanity has lots of those too.

I think the first trilogy was the best. CB1 was hard, a true challenge, but it was also fun as hell and was a big part of PS' history. CB2 made a much better work and added many new things overall. CB3 has really memorable levels and Coco's parts were fun. CB4 lost a bit of essence but still was awesome, specially because it wasn't made by Naughty Dog. Twinsanity is a whole insanity tbh. I haven't played it, but by everything I've seen and read, it was a pretty good game, but not the best, specially because of all the unused content and lenght of the game. Mutants saga was also okay, but it was really experimental and hard to adapt to after every other Crash game we've had. Racing games were pretty fun and original, and they didn't feel forced as others did. Nitro Kart is still the best one. GBA games were okay, even after all the limitations they had. GBA was done for 2D platforming and RPGs, so franchises like Rayman, Crash and Dragon Ball went by a lot of experiments there, but managed to have some pretty cool games (Rayman 4 and Dragon Ball advance are two of my favorites). That's my whole opinion. Viva Crash!
18: Crash Boom Bang (Boring minigames, nonsensical plot) 17: Ripto’s Rampage (The visuals and gameplay suck!) 16: Crash Tag Team Racing (Pretty fun but they truly blew it) 15: Crash of the Titans (It’s really cool imo but I understand all the criticism) 14: N-Tranced (Provides absolutely nothing new to the table) 13: Crash On the Run (I can have a ton of fun but the levels are WAY too simple) 12: CTR: Nitro Kart (Good but not nearly as good as the others) 11: Crash Bash (I always have a blast every single time I play it) 10: Crash Bandicoot (The controls are weird but this game still holds up today) 9: The Huge Adventure (Filled to the gills with great levels) 8: CTR (The way you should do a kart racing game correctly) 7: Mind Over Mutant (The bosses throughout this whole game is just 👌) 6: Cortex Strikes Back (Took everything great about the first and made it better) 5: Wrath of Cortex (I love all of the variety in the levels) 4: It’s About Time (The objectively best game in the series) 3: Twinsanity (I love the sense of humor) 2: CTR: Nitro Fueled (Two fantastic games combined) 1: Warped (Just easily the best!)
1. Crash 3 (Naughty Dog took a risk with shaking up the gameplay and it paid off big time) 2. Crash Team Racing (The best kart racer imo jam packed with content) 3. Crash 2 (Better than the first, but it was a pretty safe entry) 4. Crash 1 (A good game in its own right, but hard to return to after playing its more balanced and refined, Naughty Dog successors) 5. Crash Bash (The only party game that I enjoyed in single player. The challenge could get so intense that I didn't even care for multiplayer) 6. Crash Twinsanity (I was 10 when I last beat this, so I don't remember much. However, I do remember enjoying it a ton) Just my personal list
how did I know Twinsanity was gonna be number one to begin with? I really liked it for it's humor and poking fun about the production of the game and other games not doing so well.
My list (Worst to best):Crash: Mind over Mutant (ALL), Crash of the Titans (GBA), Crash Boom Bang (DS), Crash Purple Fusion: Ripto's Rampage (GBA), Crash of the Titans (XBOX 360 +PS2), Crash Nitro Kart 3D (ALL), Crash Nitro Kart 2 (ALL), Crash Tag Team Racing (ALL), Crash XS (GBA),Crash N-Tranced (GBA), Crash of the Titans (DS), Crash Bandicoot 3: WARPED (PS1), Crash Bandicoot: Wrath of Cortex (PS1), Crash Nitro Kart (ALL), Crash Bash (PS1), Crash Team Racing (PS1), Crash Bandicoot 2: Cortex Strikes Back! (PS1), Crash Twinsanity (ALL), Crash Bandicoot (PS1)
No way anyone could possibly believe that the number #1 spot belongs to anything but one of the games from the original trilogy.. Twinsanity was #1 strictly for shock value...
