If you run your Euhomy 12V fridge on DC power only you can easily get 7 days or more. I have a little 500W Jackery that runs my 45qt Setpower 12V fridge for 48 hours, you have 5 times the power on your battery. Also if you only want to use the 120V A/C only than change the inverter to at least a 300 watt or 500 watt inverter when using the Euhomy, 2000 watt inverters will use up to 30 to 40% of the battery capacity converting DC power to AC power and when idle. So maybe a smaller inverter like a 1500W or 1800W inverter can buy you extra couple of hours of run time on your residential Fridge. Don't get discouraged. I have a 5KW 48V battery with a 3000W inverter and it only ran my fridge for 38 hours. Buy a mppt solar charger and a couple of solar panels and it can run the fridge indefinitely as long as there is sun. Like you we experience frequent power outages and I love my 12V fridges. I own 4 and if power goes out for a long time I transfer food from the residential fridge and freezer to the 12V coolers and use my power banks to run all my 12V fridges as a single 500 W power bank will run them 48 hrs and I have solar panels that I connect them to. This is great information! Thank you for sharing this with me. I’m always trying to improve things as I go and having folks like you who have already learned from experience and willing to reach out is awesome. That would explain a lot about the power usage difference from day to day. I thought it was the Texas heat but you’re absolutely right about that inverter wasting a lot of my power for no reason. I now have a 12v plug mounted in the cab from the dual battery and it seems to be doing a lot better. My home fridge did use my battery pack pretty quickly. 24 hours! Just finished testing and it lasted 23 hours at normal usage. Ice machine, water filter, freezer etc. very happy with that. Could prob squeeze out more time if I was trying to conserve power! Thank you so much for watching and being a loyal member of the R5 family.

Were you running the fridge via 110v? Doesn’t the fridge run on 12v also? You will get more life on direct 12v, rather than converting 12v to 120v then back to dc

@@justbiggers Good point JustBiggers! It does have both and I did have it connected 110v. I was in the process of adding a 12v plug inside my cab that’ll run off the dual battery set up. It’s there now and that’s where I have my fridge living. You’re probably spot on with getting a lot more run time via 12v not having the inverter drawing power too. If you really think you'll ever use this as a home back up for your house fridge, here's an idea. All modern refrigerators have a heating system to defrost the interior. Look up the circuitry if you can on line, and put a switch or plug in the defrost circuitry. That way, you'll only be running the compressor to keep you food cold. The defrost circuit is a real power hog.

Howdy Chet, that’s a great point and something I should have done. At the time I started the test I hadn’t finished installing my 12v plug from the secondary battery. I prob would have gotten a lot more run time. It’s installed now and inside the cab so I may give that I run just to see how well it does.

Hahahahha I live in Texas and rarely do we require heat. Same same but different different! We are wanting to go camping up that way in a year or two.
