@@majapaja_ No, you're right, it's not "exactly" how they work I was imagining the guy randomly finding a long-play sleep recording with some noise which was directly out of phase with the hum he's hearing - and that is most definitely the basic concept behind noise cancellation tech. Obviously there's a lot more to it than that.

I have this video turned all the way up tp 100% and checked that the video is set to max volume but I can bearly hear a tone. I get nothing at all below 200Hz. This is a brand new laptop, Lenovo i3 yoga/win 10. Is there a setting or something I can adjust to get some decent sound out of this device?
