2000 - 2006 Chevy Chevrolet GMC GM truck hard start after fueling tighten fuel cap 4.8 5.3 6.0 

would have liked to see you crank it after putting it on though. I understand the concept of how it works and how it could effect the vehicles ability to start, but seeing it being cranked up would have been good, to know for anyone watching that it was actually a successful install and working afterwards. :)

Can anyone help me I have a 99 Chevy Silverado 2500 6.0 gas and my trucks starts fine when cold but once it warms up and I drive somewhere and shut it off and try to turn it back on it gives me trouble and I have to hit the gas padel to get it started

Good video. I was having issues with hard start after getting gas. I do not have any test equipment to check this purge valve solenoid. But I did take it out and I shook it back and forth a little bit there was a slight rattle. I noticed if I back blow with my mouth slowly it would stay open and if I blow forward it would open until I blow harder. So I back flushed it with mass air flow cleaner. Back blow using my mouth to get the cleaner out and black stuff was coming out. Now when I blow forward in this valve it was closing. Made sure that it was dry mass air flow cleaner dries fast. Now I have no check engine light and it starts fine after getting gas. Before cleaning it the scan tool said different stuff all the time. Like Oxygen Sensor all kinds of stuff. All that is now resolved save me $55. If the gas issue starts again I will clean it again but eventually I may have to go to new one because the spring may be weak inside. got it Chikki Carolina , i was getting P0454 code i replaced the fuel cap now i am getting Tighten Fuel cap, i got the purge Valve i just have not got to putting it on yet it's been super cold out here in Illinois

I've replaced fuel pump,fuel pressure regulator, purge valve sensor, starter,and battery and the POSchevy won't start. Cranks over but no start . It has 55lbs. Fuel pressure, checked spark and has spark .WTF
