unfortunately I got into this incredible comic late but when I did I couldn't wait to get the next issue the art had me spellbound and my favs were strontium dog abc warriors zenith slaine nemesis and dredd. Superb art by Carlos Ezquerra and Simon Bisley were to me the best

Proper English/British eccentric and working class boy done good. Good for you Pat. Total and utter respect. Oddly enough, my 1st issue of 2000ad way back in 78 , it wasn't Dredd who lured me in, but grotty foul mouthed sewer droid Ro.-Jaws. Never thought of 2000ad as a working class thing before he said it here, but it was his stanky impertinence I totally identified with at the age of 5. I still relate to him now. Brill.

Didn't mind both Dredd films, I have ordered some of the Vampire Requiem GN's and not sure about that working glass tag on 2000AD Magazine. I don't really work at the moment, I haven't for early ten years, but I still enjoy the comic.

"The ruling ideas of any age are those of the ruling class." - Karl Marx And 2000AD wasn't filled with their ideas. It exposed heroes for what they were.

you mention in the interview about ABC warriors, and how to make it accessable to people who are not familiar with the characters or story.. I have written a prequel on my RU-vid channel which could be a basis for a movie if you are interested... just search "ABC"

Pat Mills created my childhood. As great a writer as Alan Moore was (is?) I found some of his work a bit pretentious at times. Mills and John Wagnor had a bit more attitude and a dark dry humour which always resonated with me.

I love Pat, but he's wrong. One of the main reasons the first Judge Dread sucked was the fact that they ignored the hardcore fans... they cast the net to wide... and it was pussified. The second was a lot better... closer to the Comic... Oh, and Watchmen was a great film... Never heard anybody complain about it being to close to AM's Graphic Novel... That's what made it great.
