Martin Dugard of the Eastbourne Eagles takes victory as Wild Card in the 2000 British Speedway Grand Prix, the fourth round of the 2000 World Individual Speedway Championship. In the last British Grand Prix event to be held at Coventry, Dugard becomes the first ever British rider to win a home Grand Prix.

As much as I like the GP at Cardiff I used to love GP at Coventry! I only live down the road from cov still you can't beat Cardiff for atmosphere!!

I used to love going to Brandon to watch the speedway you were closer to the action, but Cardiff is great, and another level. Because of the size of the stadium. It’s a shame my team doesn’t exist anymore.
