2000 durango. Starter spins and continues to spin in the "run" position. I have replaced the starter, key lock assembly, and ignition switch. It solved the issue for 2 days and started to do it again. I'm at a loss. Please advise.
The 2 pins to the left (coil?) on the starter relay socket: Can I connect those two with a banana clip wire or will it fry the wire because the gauge is too small?
Been having an issue with mine. Haven’t been able to trace it down yet so I threw in a push button start to bypass the neutral safety. Along with the starting issue…once started with the push button, I have no power windows, speedometer or vent fan. I’m sure they are all related somehow to a ground 🤷♂️
Hey I’m working on a starter on a Durango and once it starts the starter is still going. Like it’s still trying to start the vehicle! Any advice would be helpful. Thanks
I'm having the same issue. I've replaced the starter, ignition switch 2x's, the key lock tumbler and swapped out relays. I'm down to just cutting the wire to the solenoid and putting in an interrupt switch on the dash.
very strange for me. every mechanic when explaining ''relay'' mentions the pin number i.e. 86 , 85, 30, 87. you never do that. just showing the picture, is not helpful and useful. hoping you will consider this concern in future .
