Hope it helps you out.... Will have another video soon (2001 Ford Focus) which goes a little more in detail into checking the coil... Waste Spark type coil where each coil fires 2 cylinders... (1 and 4 together.... one on compression and one on exhaust stroke... fires both at same time)..... and 2 and 3 together... If you have just one cylinder not firing at the coil, but it's companion is firing then you know that the computer is controlling the coil as it fires both at the same time... that's what I found on the 2001 which the video will be out on soon...

Yes it helped. I have a 2.0 sohc focus for a winter car, and months ago it began bucking and idle roughness. I did wires and plugs no change. I was thinking one of two things like u said fuel pressure or spark. Coil has small crack, I'll look again tomorrow for the oil you mentioned. Engine light came on today after I sprayed it lightly with water in hopes of seeing arching at night time to help identify a short, but to no avail.then a drive got me thinking how it only bucks under load.. say 15 to 20% load. If I coast along with minimal throttle it's ok the second I push down more it bucks. I was convinced then it's the coil. I'll let ya know. Tks

the grease inside the plug is probably dielectric grease.

Not in this case... seen that many times, but this was actually oil .. not grease

@@CharlesAndCars yeah I just assumed that's what it was till I watched it to the end of the video and seen it was cracked on the bottom and then I figured it probably was oil the only reason I assumed that it was dielectric grease is because you never mention anything about knowing about dielectric grease and that it wasn't dielectric grease you just looked in there and said there was oil in it so that's what I assumed.

I seem to have the same intermittent issue, but it clears up when I go to 66% or wot, could this be the culprit? It seems to only do it on the free way in 6th gear (I have 03 focus svt)
