Thanks to you I changed my Fuel pump myself. Mechanic wanted 900$ plus price of pump. I saw you did it with hand tools and a jack and knew I could do it. Thank you .
You must have drained the tank 1st? And what about the feeder hose when you fill up at the gas station? A lot of gas tanks have a donut gasket at the feeder input. What about this one?
At 1:25 I show how to remove the filler hose, breather hose and charcoal canister line. Also at 11:26 I show the reconnection. I only had a few gallons left in the tank so I did not drain it. You may notice at 7:52 as I reinstall the tank I had trouble with the fuel sloshing about. For this reason I recommend draining the tank. You may also wash it out if needed. Happy motoring ....
Yes you are correct. At 8:05 Re install straps 8:07 have straps lowerd and roll tank on in. Pins go in a lot easier than they come out. Hold strap in place and slide pin in. Good luck and happy motoring.
Its not that it is hard. It requires a lot of steps. If you have the tools, jack stands and a floor jack then you sould be able to do it in 4-5 hours. Make a weekend out of it. Take the tank out. remove pump. install new one. Put tank in next day. Good luck and happy motoring. @@jeedwards1981
Hello, I have a 2001 ford taurus model, when I pass the switch the fuel pump does not sound, and when I start the engine there is no current, it does not turn or anything, just lights on the dashboard, do you know how to remove the switch? Greetings from Venezuela
Hello Josue. Thank you for the question. I assume by switch you mean the fuel pump relay. It is located in the engine bay. Check the relay and fuses. If this does not work please let me know. I hope I helped.
Hello, I tested all the fuses and they are in good condition, everything has power, I tested the relays in another car and they are good, I think that the switch when turning the key to start the engine does not send a signal to the starter relay, I think It is a switch problem but I don't know how to remove the plastics from below and those of the switch, to test if there is power from the switch, thank you very much excellent video.
@@chriscoralAloha OK WELL I'M UNEMPLOYED CAN'T WORK DUE TU CIRCUMSTANCES YET WAITING ON MY BLESSINGS SO I or WE CAN STAY IN CONTACT 🙏 UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE IF IT'S OK❓❓🫣
