These cars were so brutally fast and gorgeous. I was 17 when this race happened and I remember reading 2 years later in AutoWeek that we'll remember this racing and these racecars like people did the original CanAm. That writer was right.

Penske #3 is the winner in 2000, Penske #3 kills Gonzalo Rodriguez in 1999... BTW Juan Montoya is wearing a special helmet design in memory of his lost friend Gonzalo.
It's a huge shame if this is IndyCar's best quality footage of this race. Better ask Roger or fans to gain access to better material. This era of cars deserves it.
