Looks like a beast. V10 diesel, sounds great! Does the gearbox use air-pressure to change ratios? Every time you move the shift lever you can hear a little "hiss" like it's air-actuated. Also would have been nice to show what the truck looks like. Some of us live in places like the USA, where they don't sell MAN trucks.
The hissing sound comes from the little switch on the shiftstick. The gearbox has 8 gears that are been shiftet by the stick an the little switch doubles every gear, what is done by an air actuator. as an example: for starting of you shift the stick in the 4. gear come off the clutch, set the mass in movement, flick the little switch, step on the clutch and the gearbox shifts the gear air actuated without swirling the stick. now you are in 4H (high). this system allows a finer stepping in the rev band for more economics. nowadays the gearboxes in heavy european trucks have mostly 12 gears, which means a 6 speed gearbox with the doubling.
@@stugill4513 nah it's water cooled all cars after 60s come with water cooled engines the production of air cooled engines stopped in the 70s and this is a 90s truck
@@Steve1766 iveco was still making a bonneted air cooled engine in the 90 , and porsche were still making 911 sports cars that were air cooled in to the early 80 s
