In this video I give a full in depth tour of a 2000 Pontiac Trans Am. I take viewers on a close look through the interior and exterior of this car while showing details, over viewing of features, and noting unique styling cues to the vehicle itself. I also show the engine and the details of it, start it up and see how it sounds under acceleration. A thorough tour/review of this car designed to give others a greater overall appreciation of the vehicle.

I love pontiac firebirds. They sound good, look good, and drive good. I'd love to get one of these firebirds! Only thing I hate it the way the headlights look when they are up. Thanks for posting another great video Kyle

Very nice car. The exhaust sounded good too. While In the car though you get more of that deep tone from the exhaust, while driving. Very cool fun car.

I love pop-up headlights. They'd probably not look right on most of today's cars, but something about growing up dreaming about the early NSX, mid-90s RX-7 and others makes me get all excited whenever a car has them. :)

I actually came across one of these this past Saturday. That is one of the best sporty cars they made for the discontinued legend. Pontiac may come back someday. Maybe 20 or 30 years down the road.

@Sephirius Im a ford fans but this car is one of my Favorite Muscle Cars. My aunt has a dark purple one with lighter pink/purple fading flames on the front. Black leather interior. It was a NICE car.

I am a huge MOPAR guy, but even then these late model trans ams just get me, I love them. Especially the nose ram airs. Too bad dodge didn't have its muscle car to compete with Ford and Chevy/Pontaic at this time. It would be cool to see the big 3 on top as rivals again. (I guess they are now) I want a repeat of the muscle car wars!!!

I would also add that those wheels are the 16" ones found on the V6 version with "ABS" center cap medallions. If it is a true WS-6 package, it would have come from the factory with 17" chrome plated wheels with the "WS-6" medallions for the center caps. That thing also has headers on it as well as an aftermarket exhaust, high flow airlid, and who knows what else underneath. I'd buy it if I had the funds, although I like Formulas better. Nice review

Kyle, you shoulda made the EQ on the headunit flat, or curved upward at the left, I think that's why the speakers sounded blown...

I hear ya there! I had a 2000 black WS6, 6spd, gold lettering, Z06 wheels, T-tops and a Borla exhaust. Awesome car, miss it dearly. Sold it to buy a '72 Corvette 350/ 4sp and the guy selling the 'vette backed out of the deal. Dirty

@kristechreviews I had a 99, and I too found the horn quite embarrassing. I just revved the engine instead, usually. Nothing says move over like an LS1.

Nice walk around vid. I've got myself a 3rd gen near end of rolling restoration. Love them. The whole bird that rises from the ashes phoenix. The next firebird will be the new camaro 2010 onwards like stated the fire breather. So many conversions already I do wonder what's next if anything. Love my firebird and would love to see them rise again think of all the buyers waiting. It was 10yrs break before camaro was made again.

@Cherfan1998 just put new exhaust in it, the cats were dieing so it was having patches when you floored it cause the o2 sensors are trying to keep good emissions by decreasing power. and if you get one do not go to the dealer to have them fix it up! it cost me $800 to get three wires fixed and a fuel filter replaced and they were asking 400 to replace the spark plugs and another 800 for the one cat i got both cats and cats back for 1200

I would hope you would be keeping it as a Sunday/show car and not a daily for that much. I've seen plenty of low mileage fully loaded TransAm's for about 13-15k. I would try looking somewhere else, even if you have to drive a little distance to find the exact one you want.

@Hype679 I'd say they were easy to find in IL for a while... and I guess they still are. However, nearly all of them (available right now near me) are automatics, and I'd prefer a stick. I wish there were more stickshifts available.

@mike88g1 Thats probably true. It may not be. It all depends how it was ordered. There's five or six cars that may or may not be ws6 Trans Ams in the Chicago area alone. LS1 models are also quite plentiful from what it seems.

Keep in mind that LS1 f-bodys with a SLP lid put down 320-330 RWHP. that's about 370HP at the crank. making them faster than a New GT or camaro SS.

I know your comment is old. But I've seen 2000 ws6's bone stock, down to the paper air filter. Range from 280ish to 318, (the highest i've seen.) hit at the wheels. Also just to add. And this comes from SLP themselves. After 100 mph. The ram air is no longer a factor. The air is moving so fast it goes right up and over the hood.

The Camaro,Firebird(Sexy and best looking one out of the three), and the Corvette share the same motor, same everything except intake(slightly different in some cases) and slightly tuned differently, corvette being tuned better of course since its GM's star child.
