I don't know why you keep repeating this nonsense about Humphrey missing the gym / mixed SR on beam. At American Cup she wouldn't have had a 10.0 because she missed her acro series. Nats Day 2 and Both days of Trials were 10.0 SVs across the board. In Athens she got a 10.0 SV in prelims and a 9.9 SV in finals. If she had been missing the requirement, she would have had a 9.8 max.

This was truly the demise of WAG after such a peak in Sydney with the ridiculous new VT SVs, insane amount of required bonus - 1.20 - and as you mention, almost NO opportunities to earn that bonus let alone get creative with the route. After 2001, when the AA was changed to 24-gymnasts/2 per country, VT was reduced to 1 VT for TF/AA, and the required 'C' on the LB + hold on BB were removed, they should've gone further given the dramatic reduction in quality in Ghent. 1. They should have left AA at the 32 total, 3-per country as in 2001. 2. Bonus should've been reduced to 1.0 on UB, BB, and FX. 3. The Tsuk 2/1, Khorkina II, and Rudi should've been bumped to 10.0; 1.5 Tsuk, Lopez, and McIntosh to 9.90 on VT (debatable as to the proper 9.7 - 9.9 values but certainly the first 3 and the McIntosh deserved a bump). 4. D+D (both flight) shoud've been bumped to .20 CV on UB, the DBL Front 1/2 to an E. 5. A+D (acro/mixed) to .10, B+E (acro) and D+D (acro/mixed) to .20, B+B+C to .10 with nesting allowed; Front Tuck mount to D, Arabian to Super E, Full-In to Super E on BB. 6. A+D, A>E to .10; A+E, C>E to .20; Full-In to D, Podkopayeva to Super E.

Can you help me with ponors floor SV? I keep adding up to only .9 or 1.0 in bonus and that’s if the tuck jump 2/1 is a D which I have no idea. Do you know where the other bonus comes from?

Connor McCool No, the Popa was a C. There used to be a DC connection bonus of .1 for leaps and turns back then. Popa has stayed a C. It’s those cat leaps and tuck jumps that were severely downgraded. Popa was actually a D in the 1996 code. Shannon Miller added it to her event finals routine in like the 1993 Worlds or something.
