Those things are a god sent, saved my 3 yr old from getting hit n the head , i open the gate and didn't know she was walking under and I was able to stop It just in time because it drops slow , if you don't have it get it , now the new trucks coming with those already installed
Well I’m just having a Tailgate kinda weekend watching your vids Nick, Now I’m Plenty Jealous and absolutely Have to Have the Upgraded Tailgate and the Shock Absorber, On both sides… and I’m gonna have to get a weight bench too, lol. You’re an All Around Inspirational Guy for a 51 year old fella like me, Cheers from Florida! Keep on Rockin Brother, Excellent Job on your Vid’s !!
how long you had it? im wondering how long the shock will last, i might install 2 just in case one goes out and to put less stress on one shock, because these tail gates are crazy heavy
FixItNick yea bro u hve skills tht I wish I had lol an a lot more thn these big RU-vid channels your channel is way underrated but one day you’ll get there keep doing you thing buddy👍🏽💪🏽✌🏽
Wow Nick. The second thing today that I'm buying directly from your link ! You should be getting a commission. A quick thought...might be a good idea to dry fit everything before you use thread lock, just say'n... Also, to all pick up drivers: a simple way to slow down thieves who would try to make off with your tailgate. A hose clamp around the slotted tailgate hinge (you know, the one that lets you take the tailgate off) will stop or at least slow down the quick grab kinda thief. Damn it ! Just saw your video where you correct your two shock issue with the clamp. Never mind.
thanks , once in a while i have to do vids like this, ill be doing more commentary vids because some things will need to be talked about and then once a project is finished then ill do a timelapse fast video, that way i do both worlds
Have you ran a cylinder contribution test to check injectors? Also the pedestal on the turbos leak after awhile they make some good aftermarket options. The drain valve on the fuel bowl will leak too sometimes. It's just o rings cheap to fix if you have these issues. The ol 7.3l has it's issues but there easy as can be to work on.
Random question. I have the same truck but its a 250 7.3. Non dually. Can you make them into a dually? Is there some sort of kit? I really like the dually look
Wow 9K congrats nick , I thought the silverado series would have exploded with subs but ,maybe you should have a shed building channel ,Awesome Keep up the good work ! movie deals next ! LOL
well i dont build sheds much haha, in fact this might be my 3rd and last shed, id rather work on cars, shed just got in the way of my car projects grrr!
Hi Nick, new subscriber here, my question is how did you learn how to fix all these projects that your working on, i know your a driver for UPS is that correct, your a very knowledgeable person and a great one, thanks for your videos and keep them coming, also i see that you mostly like to work on trucks, in the near future would be working on cars as well. Thanks!
thank bro appreciate it, i started working on classic cars when i was 19 and it never stopped. I have rebuild a few 1967 mustangs, and actually after i do this F350 I have a 1967 mustang in the garage there waiting its turn. Ill be doing that one on the channel and then will be looking for a 2016-17 GT350 that i always wanted to rebuild and a Viper GTS as well
I put one of these on my 7.3 F250 and it works great (and in less time than this video took... ha!) -- too bad the company that makes these doesn't make them for the Ford Ranger.
what trucks you had them on? i was thinking to maybe install 2 because the tailgate is so heavy to put less stress on the single one and just in case one goes out lol
I have an 05 F-350 and I installed two of them on the tailgate. At first just installed the one, but with the weight of the tailgate just felt one more was needed. Works awesome with two.
If you use a truck anything like a normal truck that little shock is going to get bashed all to hell. Save your cables because you're going to need to go back to them.
well im not sure it matters how you use the truck, the tailgate is always lowers and closes the same way and cables are still used for support, without them the door will hit the bumper
Augghh! The music. Couldn’t take it anymore. Don’t bother mentioning several times in the vid it’s a tailgate mod. We got that from the title. Condense your videos. Don’t waste 10 minutes of a viewer’s time for 2 minutes of info.
