@@5C2WMediaI wonder if the engine bay is the same for both the 3.0L and the 2.3L. My 9th gen Accord coupe is the same for both the 2.4L and 3.5L, so I’m assuming so…. Most of it just needs a whole donor car to swap over most of the major parts, like motor mounts, engine harness, ECU, other cables and sensors, electronics, etc. The cutouts in the chassis for the 6th gen, I believe, are even the same between the 4AT and 5MT (2.4L) models as well.
@@isnowyazn I'm not 100% sure of all the differences, but I do know the following; 1. On the V6, the battery is located on the driver side rather than the passenger side. The intake is located here too. 2. The I4 and V6 subframes are not interchangable, so if you want to do a V6 swap in an I4 you need to get the V6 subframe
Honda's are actually pretty affordable to build. You can get these engines and transmissions for under $2,000 with low mileage. Aftermarket suspension and engine parts are a 1/4 of what many other car brands cost and they are very popular which makes prices lower. He went all out but I price his build under $15,000. You may think "WTF that is too much money!" but another car would easily double that and buying a car brand new in that range will set you back $35,000+ in the long run.
I wish people did builds like this more often. The Accord Coupe, especially the ones made in late 90s and early 2000s, are severely underrated when it comes to modding potential. 10/10 build.
Thanks! I agree, it was challenging build because it's not a Civic, therefore aftermarket mods are not available. When a build needs everything fabricated it's a challenge.
You have the cleanest 2001 Honda Accord coupe in the world. Exactly what I want my car to be one day. If you could do a full build list of your car I would watch that video a million times.
The NS inspection caught my eye in the thumbnail so I clicked. Was not expecting this clean car to he such a monster!!! If I ever see it for sale I promise to come take it for a test drive ;)
02 accord will always have a forever place in my heart. I’ve had on all though highschool, even boosted it. I drive a 1995 eg hatch turbo b18, but I will always love accords.
Those rims were always the nicer ones from the 9th gen Accord that I liked. They’re just way too heavy tbh. An aftermarket set of aluminum racing rims will save a good 40+ lbs easily. You’ll be seeing a lot more moving after that, trust me.
Dude you definitely got a subscribe and like from me I have the same 2001 coupe V6 and I’ve had it for going on nine years it’s a very reliable car and I’ve been looking to upgrade it and make it a sleeper I’ve got a truck now I can’t seem to get rid of this car I would love to build it don’t really know where to start would you recommend building the regular V6 Honda engine that’s in it I have an automatic
Not sure if you’ve done this yet but get the entire car padded. (Sound proof and rattle proof the car). You’ll lose some weight saving but the comfort and noise cancellation will go up and vibration noise and wind noise will go down.
I have an 04 6-6 with swap j32a3. I did timing belt+water pump recently. Now that I know how to set the timing I can begin to upgrade the internals and replace head gaskets. Probably going supercharger route though.
I'm sure others may have opinions, but my experience has been these engines have zero issues with 8-10psi on stock internals. After that timing is not really enough, higher octane with a meth kit does the trick up to 15psi easy. This was all I used on the stock J30 and the J32a2.
This is a bit of overkill but i think everyone should realize . Most newer muscle cars top out at under 140 at most . I own older vehicles at 21 and they go just as fast , just as fun , and cost less to own no need to finance . It doesnt matter the year the car or brand its the character
My 2001 Ex-V6 Coupe is one of the cars I regret selling. There has to be a better way of vesseling the methanol than deleting the windshield washer system. Cruise control should be able to be modified using a vacuum check valve or a vacuum reservoir. I am in to GT cars, meaning Grand Touring, and I don't like to lose comforts or accesories.
Very nice mate. Beautiful car. I have a 2016 Coupe V6 Touring. This car is a sleeper beast. I bet you never look at how much you spent on it. Good job mate.

I have a J32A2 6 Speed Swapped 6th Gen Accord as well but a 00 Sedan. I probably put like 4 miles in the last 8 1/2 months. As i live in Cali we need to smog of course but it's throwing a P0560 code which is system voltage malfunction. Had the swap done back in 2014 of March, fully street legal to be smog compliance which was a pain but got it certified. But now 2020 comes and yeah code came out. I cannot figure out the issue. Swapped out Alternator, Battery, Starter and code still there. I miss driving her so bad 0 issues mechanically.
