+Clifford Moselina Retrosnickers was actually inspired by John Manalo to do sole swaps haha. John Manalo is easily the best sole swapper in Air Legends.
+Riceballz judging by John's work it's obvious his craft is much more perfected than retrosnickers, and the fact John explains the reasoning to his techniques puts him above all others. easily said John is 2nd to none
+Riceballz I agree. I actually just stumbled on John's page a few days ago and hands down best skills I've seen. retrosnickers work is sloppy, from afar it looks . I'm glad I found this channel. hella legit
+Clifford Moselina John's sole swaps and repaints maybe better but RetroSnikers got that awesome high quality and that professionality in his videos. John's work is still better though.
First off I love the midsole repaint I wish I could do it that well with a brush. Only thing I didn't like was on the tabs when you cut the threading you didnt redo it. But amazing job.
yoooo John dope restoration man! the shoes came out so clean! I was wondering, at the end of the video, what kind of glasses were you rocking cause the frames are legit! Love the vids
Quick question. So you use Barge superstik? Just wondering because people usually use Infinity cement. Is superstik better? Thanks for the response and awesome video!!!!!
what paint stripper do you use from Home Depot for the midsoles? if you could get back with me ASAP that would be dope man. keep up all the great work. You just gained another subscriber
hey John, I have a pair of 05 stealth 5s, and the mid sole is crumbling and thought stitching at the toe box has come loose. can you post a video and how I can revive the life of my favorite pair of 5s please
Enjoy the vids bro. Tempts me to me want to search for a pair of '01s and send them for a sole swap haha. You obvs researched your techniques and use the best methods.
hey just wondering so when u glue the back tabs on the shoe and then u glue the elephant print on. u don't do any restitching on the elephant print to make it look original or was that left out. thanks in advance just trying to learn.
aye man I'm tryna dye some sport blue 3 soles, should I tackle this as a regular sole or add multiple coats of white then add the color I want. I appreciate your help I'm kinda lost with this custom 😂
haha my 2001 jordan 3s with the nike air are still wearable...but my second pair started to crumble and i sold them to an asian guy who said he was gonna do this exact thing...mine were size 12....
tory lanez has a project called The New Toronto, Javi has 2 projects called Losing myself and the other is August 14th. check them out 👌 audiomack, soundcloud and itunes has both of them. they'd fit your style of music/vids
Any advice on how to remove the midsole from newer shoes? I'm trying the boiling method but it doesn't seem to be working, should I keep at it or should I do something else? @John Manalo
I just realized how people go crazy for black cement 3's with the nike air well you can get a cheap pair of the ones with jordan air and do a tab swap and make them have nike air
I just tried this with some 312s and the donor midsole is too long. Things aren't lining up right. Do I need to go a size down? So a 10.5 donor for a 2001 Size 11? Why is there no info on this.
should paint the midsole first and do the matte finisher so it doesn't get on the outsole, but that's personal preference, other than that good work gained another sub.
+Tan Le If I do it that way, paint may get on the part where I'll need to apply my adhesive. I could remove the excess paint off but, cotton balls and acetone cost more than tape. I've done it before and it didn't work out. This is cost effective and doesn't take long to tape up the midsole anyways.
