2001 Chevrolet Venture Startup Engine & In Depth Tour 

My family had an '01 Venture, in silver like this one, but with the long wheelbase and the Warner Brothers package. I never thought much of it at the time, but looking back, it was a real memory maker over the years. It was a lot of fun growing up with it.

A very few taxi companies drive these minivans (Well, at least where I live). When I was at Verge House, someone that drove with from a taxi company named PC Cab owned a black 2002 or it could be a 2003 long wheelbase Chevrolet Venture and they also had a Pontiac Montana and a short wheelbase Chevrolet Venture too, but I've never been in the short wheelbase Venture though. Sadly, it was replaced with a silver Kia Sedona. Even though I hate minivans, I always had a soft spot for the GM minivans. They use the same exact engine used in my mom's black Alero. These engines are known to be reliable aside from the intake manifold gasket issue. I always had a thing for the Oldsmobile Silhouette, maybe because I love Oldsmobiles.

Why did gm stop making Minivans, they were so cool!

I just picked up a 2004 with the same mileage. $275. It was a mess inside. Found over $5 in change. Lots of cleaning. Needs rocker panels of course. $68 off ebay for a pair. Other things to fix. Slider door handle, broken glove box latch, left turn signal assembly and abs sensor wire. Probably sell for $1500.

Does it have cruise control?

I liked my 02 venture. It was bigger and the steering wheel was different. Only issue i had was the back wiper motor went bad.

As much as I hate to admit it I like the Pontiac and Oldsmobile versions

On my aunt's Chevrolet Venture LT, the fuel pump went out. So she put it in the junkyard and got a 2010 Chevrolet Cobalt LT. Then she was getting more kids. She got a 2009 Toyota Sienna Limited.
