Just bought a 1997 in white with the red trim I pick it up hopefully tomorrow the bike is in as good a shape as the one in this video and I paid 11 K for it I hope they go up in value like the guy in the video says.
Man , I road my brothers Harley the same model as this but red with more fringe at Butte Montana Evil days parade. They practically gave me that town they loved that bike! I wore this original 40's Brando hat to match, I think they thought I looked like Evil Knievel, it was a ton of fun.

Nice bike man. One thing I did on mine was changed those orange turn signals to red in the rear and moved the front ones below the headlights. Makes a big difference.
How much did it sell for? I just bought myself a 97 birch white and red with 8k miles ,over here in UK . It certainty looks well made compared to the new stuff.
Hello, I'm curious what kind of slip-on mufflers are on this bike? Do they have baffles in them? Is there a brand name or part numbers on them? part number on them? Thank you Jeff
Do I understand it correctly that the new version is worse? I think it was in some review of Honda Goldwing where someone complained about Harleys and how they are not that much comfortable to ride.. I don't have a bike and don't ride, I'm just interested if the brand is still as good as legendary.

Its VERY beautiful, Sadly it's got one of the worst engines the Motor Company ever made. The Twin Cam "B" engine was absolutely horrible. Spring Cam chain tensioners, tensioners inside of the engine cases, inferior cam bearings (INA style not Torrington), Pressed in crank pin (known for scissoring) are just a few of the issues. I'm sure I missed more like junk Tappets, junk Charging system & garbage wheel bearings. I've been wrenching on Harleys most of my life and I still cant believe that the Motor Company NEVER made a mandatory recall on ANY of the aforementioned things. I think it's a damn shame.
