Good job 👍🏾 I had to figure out the spacing too on front end also. But I know how they go now lol 😂. Enjoy your videos but nice job have a merry Christmas and happy new year 🎊
Ya, if this was a stock wheel and hub I could just go by the manual. But their both aftermarket. I'm still concerned about the right side not covering the bearing seal. I'll have to take it apart later to check.
Towards the end when you were pointing oit the center of the tire. You were rolling the wheel aroumd with your hand. It seemed likethere was alot of resistance. Like the wheel wasnt spinning very freely.
I'm planning on replacing the wheel. It's not the stock one. It makes it easier if you can follow the service and parts manual. I plan on getting the correct one before spring.
Timken itself is a Chinese brand. Timken was sold to a chinese company years ago now. Quality isnt what it was. I have found many other brands ( that I didnt recognize and may even been u.s.a. companys or not ) in the last few years that seemed to be made better than Timken
I might have missed the video of you actually torqueing up those bottom rockers on the frontend springer, i'm doing a service on my 2009 cross bones and i was hoping you'd show the actual process, but did i miss it or did you leave that part out? Also, where did you source the correct torque specs, im not sure mine is askin for that 100ft-lbs and was it 25 inch-lbs? :)
One of my earliest video is the work on the rockers, before I started tearing the bike down . I thought that it was cause the front end shake I had. The torque specs are out of the service manual.
@@daygersden I watched it to the point where you bought the new crows feet tool, and torque wrench, but never saw you put it to work? My bike has a slight wobble at 60mph if i let go of the handlebars, thats why i want to service the rockers.
OK, it's pretty difficult today hold the pivot stud with a allen socket while you torque the jam nut. I remember my wife holding that pivot and didn't want to be in camera. There might have been and another video where I showed that. You might want to get a service manual cause I believe the specs for a FX is different than and FL.
