ABSOLUTELY STUNNING !!!..THE TECHNICAL SKILLS IT TOOK THESE CRAFTSMEN TO TAKE THIS CAR 🚗 APART AND PUT IT BACK TOGATHER BETTER THAN WHEN IT CAME OUT OF THE FACTORY IS TO BE ADMIRED!!!..🎉🎉😊
Thats a lot of love for an S type. I've worked on old jags for many years more the V8s though and so many good cars are simply written off because of dealer repair costs. Much respect guys.
This is the best way to show the boys how it’s put together it is the best way to learn and to get a high standard look past what they done but what they have gained
Wow! That was amazing! The finished car is probably better than when it rolled off the production line. I shudder to think what it cost though, in parts, fluids, paint and labour.. But the result is stunning! I had an S Type, now an XJ (X351). Thanks for this upload! :)
Congratulations guys on a job exceedingly well done. You chose an excellent car to restore and your skills are second to none. I’ve restored cars too, and please accept my respect for your excellent work, from Toronto Canada.
Gy God. Great Job. Its good to see you installed sound insulation and road deadening mats all over. I do the same when get to remove the interiors. It really provides a different road experience to the driver and passengers. However doing what you did is more expensive than buying another car of the same kind.
This is the best restoration video that I have ever seen, period. I would guess the car rolled in to their facility valued at around $2,500. The cost of parts and labour was around $15,000 and it could be resold for around $20,000 but only if they included the video. Then I would expect it to last ten to fifteen years with regular maintenance, which is worth it in today's market. I would buy it except that I have an E39 530i and E39 528iT.
Asian work ethic is admirable. The prices of cars there different too. This jag was comparable to e39 in driving dynamics by some as it combined sportiness and comfirt but bmw still tops it in handling probably on their M5 and JSR models. I have this Jaguar and BMW e92, the quality of parts on engine and elsewhere is incomparable. Bmw components are much much lower quality, it's not even comparison. Would never believe if I didn't have the both cars more than 12 years. It literally looks like jaguar is using higher quality raw materials like steel, rubber, etc...crirical components on bmw failed and they still last on jaguar after 20 years... Only what failed on jaguar were water coolant O ring and plastic canister cracked, on bmw broke almost everything from pulleys, flywheel, glows, pressure converters, long list but it still works on Jaguar....what's interesting I never hear anyone speaking about this
lol. These cars were nice looking but not very good.Jag was owned by Ford at the time and they didn't do very well in the market compared to who they were aiming for BMW5 series.
This is a 2004 onwards model as it has facelift bumpers rear lights not 2001 as they were manual handbrake this is electronic handbrake I know as I have had my 3.0 s type January 2002 model for over 10 years now .last of manual handbrake model as February 2002 interior got facelift went from 5 sp auto to 6sp auto and elec handbrake great cars mines got 153000 on it now but still keeps up with modern cars really well...well enjoy the vid steve southampton uk
It seams to be poorly maintained with bad repair work to body ? Being from uk jaguar are a high quality build here great work to save a British icon 🇬🇧👍🏻🙏🏻
A lot of work getting the engine in and out and not doing a lot... the color inside the engine looked like it has been running hot, with no thoughts on wear?
Great video and amazing job…..but….why that car? For who? How much did that actually cost? It’s now probably the best example in the world! And that last clip of the license plate. That plate cost a fortune in China!!
@@paulvarrieur976 These cars are so long lasting the engine and gearbox didn't need anything apart from belt and pulleys. My guess this is a low mileage car in Hong Kong, wealthy owner who loves its standout appearance and wants it looking smart.
Great job but it's still a V6 S type, should of done this to an XJR or an E type and had a value increasing classic not a Jaguar frequently used as a taxi
