Fortunate? Jean Richie was fortunate that you drove there with what you need for a day or two, paid the ticket prices to get in, paid for that great grilled infield food, (probably brought your own beer), and then took yourself home when the racing was over. He was such a lucky guy. I was there too. I was snapping a pic of Ezra Lusk #11 on the Honda on a infield tight right hander after a bit of a downhill, (harder in person than it looks),, and he missed the berm and started crashing toward me. I jumped. He saved it, and I got a pic of his front wheel. :)
@@EarthSurferUSA I would call it fortunate, I owed Mr.Richie for not calling the cops when my buddie and I decided to ride the night track on a weekday in December, You should’ve seen the look on his face when He pulled in and yelled “what the hell are you guys doing!?!?” He was pretty nice about it considering:) Cool story with Ezra👍
Tortellie was no skinny kid. I can tell by how hard he is kicking that CR250 2-stroke (end of the 1st 250 moto), that the engine has some high compression and high octane race fuel. That is where the Big "Braaaaaapp! comes from. :)
32:50 See shorty RC on the starting line, (#4), no front fork compression devise, no "foot blocks" and both feet on the ground. Yea, I know that bike is lowered,---but the bikes today are too damn tall. Helped his corner speed, and helped him win. Everybody else, (with bikes that are not shortened), have both feet on the ground too. I lowered my new bike. Just a matter of physics. You get used to it.
