The shame of it all was that Libba was a hell of a great footballer until Wallace turned him into a tagger. You couldn't properly appreciate the things he did unless you were there and saw how much bigger everyone else was around him and yet he still always won the footy. Sadly other supporters will remember him for the role he had to play late in his career rather than the skilled rover that won him a Brownlow, two Gardners and a Morrish medal.

So much ragging on Libba, remember he stood just 163 cm in a game full of larger than average men. Might have been dirty at times but then the GOAT Leigh Mattews has admitted to going out purposely to hurt people on the footy field. Can't deny the courage of the little man just to play the game.
