Welcome back. Would be a good bike for someone completely new to bikes. They feel so smooth because the handlebars are rubber mounted. I've got a little Suzuki GZH125 single and its smooth too, a lot of fun, except its down on power.
We rode these bikes in our licensing safety class. impressive little rides, for sure. I'm a big dude, and it didn't stop this bike from trudging forward without issue. My 16 year old daughter is wanting to start riding, and this is the very bike she's looking at.
Bought a 2009 vl250 from a dealer in rocky. This bike is a honey, smooth as fuck and once you start riding regularly it starts soo easy and goes lovely. Things do get a bit hairy when on the highway at 100km/h+ but it is only 250cc. Highly highly recomend this bike, especially for the underseat storage and the prices you can get for 2nd handers. Goes up to about 125....or atleast Ive heard ;)
hey, dude. im looking for a first bike, and this bike seems perfect for me. how does it handle round corners? i have quite a few tight and windy sections of road around where i live. so i need to be certan it can handle that, cheers
+Joshua Juniper Hey Mate, I thought it handled awesome at slow speed stuff, I was expecting it to be a bit sketch compared to the ninja being all raked out and what not but it was very smooth and controlable! I think you'd be just fine man!
Hey i am gonna buy my first Bike and i wanna travel through Australia with it, i need a reliable bike that would perform well on a bit more tricky roads, could you recomend this one?
Hey mate, I have on one of these - check it out here: www.nicontrast.com and you can see all the vids on my channel, rides great no worries. I wouldn't say it's the best choice for touring Australia - you'd be better off with a bigger capacity bike for hills and overtaking and to be a little less buzzy. However, it's been an absolutely enjoyable on this bike and it's been fantastically reliable, barely a problem at all riding 40,000km so far around Australia. Cruises at 100kph for hours no problem, takes corners like a champ and is easy to maneuver. Bigger capacity would be better for the hills and overtaking though, but it's very do-able. Hope you're living your travel dream mate, happy days.
