I'm the original owner and it's FREAKING awesome seeing it again here. I bought the car new in 2002 and in 2019 gave it to Kars For Kids charity where it auctioned for $11K. The car needed brake service, roof repainted, fuel pressure gauge didn't work and worn wiper blades. That's it! Engine mods other than Procharger kit; ported throttle body, SLP 1:85(?) rocker arms, fuel pump and different spark plugs. Dynoed 458rwhp 440(?)rwtq at about 7psi. I left dyno chart under the drivers seat. I still have Procharger owners manual and the "before" dyno chart; 330rwhp/341rwtq. If new owner wants them I'll mail it to you. Other items left in car; car cover, wheel spacer kit and Diablo scanner - handy to delete check engine light before inspection. Anyway this car was awesome. I spent a ton on it LOL much more than listed here including 12 bolt rear w/373's.
I ended up with this car!! It was purchased out of Arizona! Was originally a New York car, and only 45k miles on the dash. Cars been resprayed original color, and currently going through all top end seals and new injectors. Fuel gauge still doesn’t work, but I’ll get around to ordering it.
Looks better now with the roof painted. There was a problem with the factory paint. Roof kept worsening over time. It became brownish and cracked regardless of maintenance.
I thought all 98-2002 SS CAMARO'S came with T-Tops and SS Badging on the Seats. Plus with it being a 2002 that would make it 35th Anniversary and I didn't see any 35th Anniversary Badging. Are You Sure this isn't a Z28 or Converted V6?
The VIN and SLP sticker denote that this car is a true SS car. Also, not all SS's came with stitching in the headrests. The 35th Anniversary package did, but stock SS's did not. You were also able to get a hardtop SS in '02 as well, although very rare. This car is a hardtop example. Thanks for checking the car out.
