The heater core on my 02' GMC Sierra sprung a leak. I live in AZ and it's starting to get warm out so I figured I would bypass the heater core for the time being. This procedure works on nearly any car or vehicle so just because i am doing this on my pickup doesnt mean that you cant do it on something else.

In another month or so it’ll start getting cold here so i think i’ll do a heater core replacement video

Theres a guy who used a cut off wheel to take the heater core out thru under the hood on a pt cruiser. Wonder if its possible for a chevy

Screw those plastic disconnects. I had one break on my 2000 Silverado, and I currently have one leaking on my 2005 silverado.

It’s the same for a lot of other gm vehicles. This is also the same as every year Hummer. Thanks for the info on the quick disconnect. Mine only has one on the passenger side like yours. I think it’s been messed with already also. Good video thanks.

What size hose connects to the heater core. Im tryimg to bypass pass my heater core. Just trying to figure out what size hose i need

Antonio Stacks im sorry man its a 3/4” hose i just looked again.

Antonio Stacks towards the end of the video i showed which 3/4” fitting i used. That will work just fine. I bought it from o’rielly auto parts i think it was only a dollar or two.
