This team was phenomenal. The Hurricanes won this game 41-16 DESPITE Dorsey having a fairly terrible game. 3 interceptions (2 in the red zone and the other one returned for a TD). I could watch this Miami team over and over and always be amazed by their talent.
56:12 A great example of why Ron Zook failed as a head coach. There's 8 minutes left in the half. Florida has just scored to take a 7-6 lead, stopped Miami 3 & out, and on 4th down blocked Miami's punt. The Gators now have all the momentum in The Swamp, and are threatening inside the Miami 15 yard line. Immediately following the blocked punt, Florida is penalized for delay of game! That's bad even for a high school team. Remember -- there's 8 minutes left, Florida is up 7-6 and in the red zone. Somehow in these 8 minutes, Miami is able to take a 20-10 lead into halftime. And it could've EASILY been 27-10 if not for Dorsey throwing a pick in the end zone.
I was there. Bout broke my ankle jumping up & down when Andre caught that TD right in front of us. The Swamp was drained before the 4th Qtr started. Too funny.
They had that pass interference on antrel Rolle, and the no-call for pass interference on Winslow in the endzone seconds before the half ended which should have given Miami a first-and-goal. Otherwise it would have been a rout right from the first half. We're used to it by now I guess. Miami always gets a couple of calls against them no matter who it is you're playing against . Of course that's just to keep viewers glued to the TV and get sponsors money's worth... Go Canes!! 🙌🏽🙌🏽
Re watching games man did Dorsey benefit from his offensive talent , cus Godd damn did he make terrible passes not only in this game but most games . Luckily for him his team was basically an nfl team each year he started
41:40 BS phantom call there, but eventually, even the refs cannot stop the Canes in this game. The refs do eventually stop the Canes in about 5 months and about 5 seconds AFTER the final play is blown dead in the Fiesta Bowl, fireworks going off, helmets being thrown in the air, player hugging and the flag is dropped in the back of the end zone, one of the worst calls in football history at that moment.
