Ehh, I would politely disagree; granted, "Friends" and "Frasier" were coming to a close, so maybe those shows weren't as enticing, and the "Hidden Hills" show doesn't look all that good, but the others had a lot to offer. Looking back on it, NBC had the better promos of all the networks. ABC was doing a "Black-and-White snapshot" theme with all their shows' promos; those faired okay, but these promos almost commanded your attention with their tone, even with the hate-it-or-love-it stare down by the stars. I don't recall CBS or Fox having memorable promos; the WB kinda kicked off the "in touch with the stars" promos back in '99 with the "Never Seen an Angel"/"Faces" minute-long promo with all the different stars across the shows coming together and being silly (a low-quality video of this should be on RU-vid still somewhere).
Good morning to the person in the room who said, "Let's have the stars stare directly into the camera for the next season of promos", and that person only a "good morning", 🙂. The November to Remember promo at 11:01 had EVERYTHING. On a techincal note, the graphic artists and editors should've had a good raise after making these, 👍🏽
