my band director lets us play crazy train in 6th grade!i learned it in 5th grade.we get to play this, land of a thousand dances, louie louie...the band director i get a year or two from now, used to dot the i in the ohio state marching band!!!!
haha, my band director: Tracey Hanna, was in the 110, she met Shaun Hurley there, (he is one of the dancers in this video!) and last week they just got married! :D ahhhh, band geek love.
They have a great group. It was a nice show to see when they came to WVU in the late 90's. I was in the WVU tuba corps at the time. If I remember correctly they played "Smooth Criminal" at that show.
The difference to this band and most bands i see out there. This is not just another performance, these people are having fun doing what they are doing.
When our high school jazz band played that last year, we actually did the aite, aite, aite part, but nobody seems to ever do it, congrats to this band!!
That guy in the front that was like bending Over backwards!! I think he's playing a trumpet or something. He must have really strong legs jeez that looked painful!! Awesome!!
POWER!!!!!!! wow, i really feel the power of this band, and trumpet (and any brass really) can get backwash spit just from playing, i play trombone, and it happens nearly every show
Wow, this is cool. Our Band Director at University of West Georgia came from there, so we kinda do what they do, but we are down in Georgia. We took this song waaaaaay faster, try 180 bpm.
@minimekewl dude i was at a marching compition at mizzou which is in missouri and mizzous marching band has 37 suzas and like 30 or 40 members in each section. they have like 320 plus in their band
@ThePhantomSafetyPin yeah it kind of sucks being a 90 member band competing against them, that was a couple years ago though, I've graduated now and the band I was in is up to 120.
Bah! I could've guessed! xD I go to Greenon... We played Crazy Train two years ago as well, but a drastically different arrangement. My cousin's walking this summer from OU, xD. So what do you play, my friend?
I haven't heard that, but I'm really skeptical. The drum break is generally learned first, then is recorded and directly taken (that night) to those in charge of coming up with a dance. So, if Graham made the drum break, then yes, they did the dance. I still say no ;)
@perry345233 its amazing especially when you listen to the recording and think "wow that sounds amazing and i help create that sound" i've played this song on my trumpet and its so fun!
@bailesie The only reason why I say this is because I have seen bands like this at Festivals that I go to with My band. We don't do alot of show, But our quality is great. People Focus on the quality, If you haven't noticed that, then my friend what band are you watching?
lol do that on the field and ill be impressed I wish my band would do things like this, but our competition judges dont like it too much. Im still high school marching btw
