you are a lifesaver! my fuse was blown under the hood and then I replaced it anf the clutch started spinning! then all I had to do was buy a a/c recharge kit and its blowing cold air now!!! thank you thank you thank you!!!
Aye man you’re a life saver. I checked that 30amp fuse sure as shit that was the problem. Wish I would have seen this video before I bought a whole new heating system. Shit. May the blessings of plentiful pussy always be with you.
Thanks for the help, I treid to change mine . Got new one at NAPA. Didn't work. I went to my fav shop McDonalds Auto Repair Hebron Ohio and it was the small black relay that is next to it on Chevy S10 2000. LOL the last shop that looked at it gave me a 2 hr estimate to look in the dash LOL.
I was pretty sure that there was a relay as well, its by the firewall. That fuse controls the power to the fan, the relay controls blower modes 1-3. If you are in my situation, 1-3 works, but 4 does not. I might be able to get 4 to work by switching the fuse. Thank you for showing me the location!
that is my problem 4 will not work what did you do, I have no heat either? switch what fuse? well i am glad i read the other comment I thought it might be the resistor but apparently its not that is what i thought it was?
After I purchased a used '99 S10 pickup I noticed that my blowers 4th (high) speed didnt work and after looking at the fuses under the hood I saw that the 30Amp HVAC fuse was missing. I replaced it and all speeds work.
I done the paper clip trick and it ingaged the clutch, and blowed cold, so I went and got more r134a and tried the same thing and it keeps blowing engine e and ac fuse, it worked before, what do I need to check?
@@Divatracks next to firewall near the middle but to the passenger side a little sits by itself i didnt notice for awhile my fan only worked 1.2.3 when i put new relay on now 4 works
I have an 03 s10 with a 4.3 2wd. Freon good, new cycling switch, ac compressor kicks on but kicks off right away. Does this over and over if I keep the ac on. Could it be the switch in the back of the ac compressor. ?
My underhood fuse box in missing the wiring harness in the middle of the fuse box underneath the fuse box. It has one screw in the middle of the fuse box. What is on this harness please
Man , I got me a 2002 Chevy s10 ac wasn't working , I had checked and changed compressor, I was told everything was good no leaks but since it was not holding pressure it was most probably the compressor I got me a new one he did everything vacuumed refilled was blowing cold ac and when I was about to run it , I changed gears and it went off , it was not working anymore I am so frustrated
I have the same vehicle. But most of my fuses blew out of nowhere. Car worked but had battery and check engine light on after replacing blown head gasket. I drove about 200 miles then the car died and killed the battery . Got it tested at autozone they said the battery was completely dead.( before i removed the dead battery the lights and radio still worked but the car wouldnt turn i replaced both camshaft and crankshaft sensor) got a new battery and installed it....nothing at all. Bought a fuse checker and most of my red 10 fuses are blown and some other fuses but none of the larger ones. Where do i even start?
That is an odd problem.. of course all blown fuses need to be replaced. You will want to check if there is a short to ground anywhere.. like in the alternator for example, or if there is a positive wire that get pinched somewhere when reassembling the engine.
@@LehewTech oh ok. Im not entirely sure how to check all grounds and is it possible with just the fuse tool? Especially the alternator. If you have a video or a link to one that could show me itd be much appreciated. And thankyou for the response, atleast now i have a place to start lol
there is a relay attached to the firewall next to the resistor I just replaced mine, all my fan speeds except 4 , 4 wouldn't work I replaced that relay @20 it fixed mine
@@suzieq8379 I took that relay off and tested it from watching a video on here and the relay tested good on the volt meter ,I've checked all the fuses I brought another ac control switch's, replaced the blow motor last year .I'm thinking it's got to be in the wiring or a vacuum but I anit got into all the wireing yet I looked at vacuum lines they all hooked, maybe the blow motor anit getting enough volts to run it on 4 I don't know any ideas shoot ?
@@jasonpeeler6796 did you check the T vacuum line on the drivers side fender that was one thing wrong with mine plus i put a new PCV valve on omg truck drives so much better I need Oxygen sensor now and you tested the one bolted on to the firewall? its by the resistor
@@suzieq8379 I don't know nothing about the t line on the fender u got a pic where that is never seen that part before I never messed with oxygen sensor either ,I willing to check t line when I figuer out where it it is and yes I checked the relay good with multi meter so of I got a pic of check today or I look it up
