Yesterday we started the ARH long tube header install on this cobra from NY. It is definitely not the most fun project but it is a good time to also spend a bunch of money on front suspension mods to totally revamp the sound and steering feel of your cobra!
We are uploading the next day, that's an accomplishment amiright?

I did this same install in my front driveway on jack stands with the top support and two hydraulic jacks. ABSOLUTE PAIN IN THE ASS!!!!!! Took me two full days and I vowed I would never do it again. The EGR tube fits, its just at an odd angle that takes forever to get just right. I threw the dipstick tube away, I got frustrated with it and just bought a flexible dipstick tube which was an even bigger pain in the ass. Good on you guys because that install is not easy by far.

Some good tips on installing headers. I have some stainless works headers for my marauder. Definitely doing it in my garage. Ain’t nobody like you guys round my neck of the woods. I just rebuilt the 4r70w in my 04 marquis. That was a lot of work with no lift but totally worth it. $250 compared to $4800 at the dealer.

I’ve done a cobra as well as a GT and honestly I didn’t have much trouble. Both install were done using jacks and jack stands. Delete the egr and go with a braided stainless dipstick. Took a full day to on each

Can't wait to hear how this sounds w/ the LT's I thought it sounded amazing before them. Also really excited to see what it makes on 93 with the VMP Gen 3 b/c that's exactly what I want to run on the Terminator I end up getting w/ some other basic bolts ons as well like this one has so I'm more than anxious to see these results. I cant find anything online w/ the Terminators on pump gas w/ the Gen 3 and basic bolt on's. I did LT's on my 94 Cobra in my garage on jack stands and I''ll never do that ever again what a nightmare. I'll be paying a shop to do it next time.

Stock manifolds for life. Headers are a pita on these cars and you dont see much gains until the upper 700 rwhp range. Expensive sound mod imo.

love the channel! Longtubes is the next thing on my to do list for my terminator. How much does a header install cost? There no way i want to tackle this project on jackstands in my garage lol

I did shorties on an 02 f150 4wd and that sucked getting to the bolts too. Plus it broke 5 studs off in the heads. But if anyone needs long tubes done on a 4.6 car I’m out lmao

You guys are the bomb. you mentioned putting a mcleod rst clutch in this car. i had rst put in my 2003 when i did a vmp swap. my clutch lets out right at the top and i hate it. they put an adjustable quadrant in my car but left a stock cable. would an adjustable cable and quad allow me to put my clutch pedal just off the floor or will i have to change the pivot ball. i hate this clutch as it is. i feel like im driving an old ford f100. thanks in advance

Bummer man! Clutch should be smooth as butter eith minimal effort.

If you put a quadrant, cable, and adjuster you can move it to the floor but the pedal will no longer have a spring tensioning the pedal towards the top. It will free hang but engagment point can be fine tuned to right off the floor. Get the complete maximum kit with cable and make sure to spray some lubricant on the throwout bearing retainer sleeve. That clutchbshould be like a new focus st. Its super light and smooth, although short throw. Cheers!

I'm doing the same thing on the floor. On the passenger side top last two bolts nearest firewall, how the hell did you access those? I haven't removed the sway bar yet (subframe out) but how low can the engine go? Any one that's done this, help please!

Drop the engine as far down as it will go. Use timing cover top bolts to connect your spreader bar too. Fyi, much easier to get the old one off than tightening the 3/4 cyl top bolts and the #7 top. Do not reuse the studs it will crush the backside of #7 pipe.

I’m getting full exhaust done on my 03 cobra (headers,x-pipe and catback) it’s gonna cost 1800$ just in labor that doesn’t include dyno and tune or any parts
