A/C relay on my Ranger was thr cprit in my compressor taking forever to kick on. My freon was still full and the compressor was still good. This truck went without working A/C for approximately a year and a half. Freon had leaked out of the original evaporator core. After installing a new evaporator core, accumulator, orifice tube, and recharging the system all was great until about a month later where there were more and more delays in the compressor kicking on. Before finally replacing the compressor relay, it would take several minutes for the system to kick on after moving the control knob to normal A/C.
Original Ford relay part number is F57B-14B192-AA
New replacement relay (made in Japan) is Panasonic ACM13221
