It was very clear that we were 60-70 runs short. And I am not sure even if we got 350 today, it would've been enough. Totally outclassed by Travis Head. No turn or spin from Jadeja or Kuldeep. No contribution from Siraj as well. We just lacked that X factor today. Nobody really stepped up and dominate the game. But tbh it was a wonderful journey, out performance was flawless right from the first game until the semi finals. Kudos to the Aussies. Now time to prepare for the T20 WC next year.
I think the pitch was better to bat on second innings. a great toss to win. In the second innings, ball was coming to the bat properly. I think players are not to be blamed here.

Australia's fielding set the tone today. right from the first over itself they saved as many as boundaries they could. a minimum of 30-40 runs were saved as a result. which made a huge difference. and that catch by travis head of rohit sharma was the turning point of the match.all in all india were outplayed by Australia today. we were atleast 50 runs short to challenge this strong Australian batting line up.

I agree with you but honestly after Shreyas Iyer's wicket Kohli should have taken the role of Iyer where he goes after the spinners and rotates the strike but no boundaries for 30 overs is absolutely just i don't know but it's just not good and whether it comes to Rohit Sharma or not I mean yes he should have played safer but I don't know what happened to Kohli and Kl Rahul because we had 100 runs in the 16 th over but no boundaries and no acceleration of any sort just cost us the game. Australia absolutely deserved to win the tournament. Travis Head was absolutely fantastic, he caught the ball which got Rohit Sharma out and he scored a century in a world cup final. David Warner was also very underrated, even though he didn't deliver with his batting, he guarded his fielding position and sprinted like a madman to avoid boundaries. Pat Cummins was a very level headed captain who made the right calls. Labuschagne was underrated as well, he remained level headed when Steve Smith got out and provided the match winning partnership with Travis Head. Overall, Australia played with a strong desire and collected demeanor to win the tournament.
From this match onwards, no one will remember India for their 10 match winning streak, scored 397 runs in semi final. They will only remember India as chokers in Final.
It was poor captaincy on Rohit's part sadly. He shouldn't have tried to go for so many shots. If he had stayed, team would not go under so much pressure from losing wickets early and stop making runs altogether.
Boundary in the 10th over after that no boundary till 25th over and next boundary in 35th over. You can't bat like that if you want to win. The Aussies were too brilliant in the field.
