I’ll never forget this game... this was the final game my father got to see... he passed away the following Tuesday. Through the years, I was able to take comfort in the thought that he got to see one last great Michigan Football moment that day. To the owner of this channel, thank you for keeping his video up for as long as you have, Go Blue!

This game was played on a Friday night because the Twins had a playoff game the next day

Ah, the Miracle in the Metrodome. A great turning point for 2003 Michigan squad.

Michigan scored 31 points in the fourth quarter. They tore them up with the screen pass.

I remember watching this game on a 12 inch hospital t.v. (the kind you could swing towards the bed) because my dad had just had major back surgery. I felt sorry for him, because normally, he would have been able to enjoy this game, but he was so doped up with pain meds that he really didn't have a clue as to what was happening. He'd wake up every now and then, mutter something I couldn't understand, and then fall back asleep. But I watched every minute of it and I was amazed. Two realizations came to me that night: First, watching a game without my dad (even though he was physically there) just isn't the same, although I still enjoyed it. Second, John Navarre had become a much better quarterback than he had been in seasons prior. I had a newfound respect for him, especially after that night. He was the one who engineered the comeback. I remember Navarre found a play (those short screen passes to Chris Perry) that Minnesota, for some reason, couldn't stop to save their lives. It's funny, I would have been happy to just tie the game, and then win it in O.T. But Michigan said "the hell with that...we'll just go ahead and win it in regulation."

The best part of the commentary of Mike Golic was that during the fourth quarter he started to call the screen pass before Perry would leak out of the backfield and was correct on his reads every single time.

You gotta feel for Glen Mason on this one. Had his lunch eaten by UM again and again but this one was the worst.

The way the Big 10 standings ended up, that game and quarter ended up swinging the Rose Bowl.

Whyd they play 2 games in a row at the metrodome?

I am not sure why they did that occasionally. Maybe it had something to do with the two teams "coming back into" Michigan's Big Ten sked after the 2 year absence were scheduled to play in Ann Arbor. I am just guessing, do not know that for sure.
