Nambour was the home of the Moreton Central Sugar Mill, with cane trains operating along Mill, Currie and Howard Streets on a single track laid in the middle of the road.
Strangely, trucks would pass close by the mill, however they would load and unload the cane train wagons further down Howard Street, where they then retraced the path back to the Mill.
Two months after this footage was taken, the last train ran. The track still remains in the streets.
