Gail Ann is so BEAUTIFUL. I love her. Her spirit is so beautiful, a truly blessed and superbly talented artist a goddess. I would pay whatever to hear her perform Gail is a living legend a PURE SOUL. ☺ I pray David knew this, and loved her as much as her fans do and always will. Where are you? I saw Gail on her first tour with Bowie, in fact it was only her 4th gig with him on the Outside tour in Toronto 1995. i was thrilled to see a chick rocking the bass. they didn't yet have the beautiful chemistry at that time. they clearly developed a gorgeous friendship/collaboration over the years. i feel equal parts admiration and envy. still deeply missing his extraordinary voice, there will never be another like him, alas.
Amazing girl. Voice and guitar. So sweet. During 1996 David went to Brasil in a near city of me and I lost the opportunity to see him and her. Sad decision. Today just memories.

Well, there is the David Bowie Tribute Tour which is made up of Bowie's old band, including Gail, as well as other collaborators/friends like Brian Eno and Gary Oldman. They are going to cities that were important to David, like Brixton, Berlin, New York City, ect.

By the time she'd joined the Bowie Band, GAD had already been a solo artist for some time, with two of her own albums under her belt. Along with Mick Ronson, Brian Eno, Reeves Gabrels, Mike Garson and a very few others she became one of Bowie's 'big guns'; a fellow artist who could not only play brilliantly and distinctively in both live and studio environments but could strongly contribute to arrangements and even collaborate with Bowie on compositions. This is a lovely, sweet, celebratory version of 'Ziggy Stardust'.
