Hi, on my Honda Jazz I have a buzzing noise that is not always present but is occurring more and more often. They told me it's the compressor, how can I tell if it's the clutch or the compressor?! The air conditioning works as usual, it's the rolling hum that worries me
@@ryanroche1037 I used business cards and found one that fit in-between the clutch then I used the card to space the clutch . It goes on the shaft. If it is off it will spin with the ac off or make noise when it is off Cause it is too close. Good luck summer is here.
This is easy job for you because the ac coil wires go sideways, but on mine , some factory dipshit worker wired mi ac coil over the top of the compressor and now i have no fucking way to access that wire... And i see that now that i ve dissasembled everything... Maybe removing the fucking alternator would help but not sure...anyway im fucked!!!
@@juhamatkala If I remember correctly, I removed the compressor bolts and just let it hang by the AC lines. That way I was able to push the compressor further down and make some room. Then I had enough space to unplug the coil wires from the compressor. And the wires in my case were not crimped, it's just a simple plug. Just pull those wires out of the compressor and you will see. Then I cut the old coild wires and just reconnected the new coil wires to the compressor. Hope it helps!
I just did mine last weekend. Exact same clutch and I now I hear a squeeling noise like the metal to metal. I'm wondering if I didn't hammer the pully enough.
Great video. You make it look easy, even for a mechanical illiterate like me, lol! My 07 Fit Sport is making a grinding noise from the pulley area. As soon as we turn off the AC, the noise stops. Do you think this is what's causing the noise? I'd hate to replace the entire ac system, as we all know that can be very expensive. The ac is original by the way.
That’s what was happening to mine and this was the issue. But some will recommend replacing the compressor behind if it’s due to fail soon anyway. YMMV Also check your belt life too!
