Wow I love those engines which includes the 3800 series.

Picking one of these up for 350 bucks in 2 weeks has a blown head gasket but the motor is fine. The motor doesnt make any noise at all and the antifreeze didnt even get in the oil Figure once i get it going it will be a good car. The car only needs a fender and headlight to look great too

GamePlayWithNolan nice I actually own a 2002 Regal LS I also have the 3800 Series II motor as well honestly they are good cars especially as a daily driver I definitely recommend them but they need to be more highway driven than in the city because it will do much better on gas on the highway than in the city.

@@fordmustang98guy her front wheel bearings were bad. I also replaced the tie rods. It also had a misfire so I replaced he spark plugs and wires. It runs great. It passed the smog and is back on the road after sitting for two years. She had bought a Honda Fit 2019. But she’s glad I fixed it. She bought it in 2009 with 39K miles. It currently has 151K miles.

Yes, electrical problems abound. Interior lights, trunk light, exterior lights, dashboard instruments inaccurateart, starter switch stuck, anti theft system make me wait 10 minutes before allowing me to start it, sunroof not working and more. Don't get me started on the number if fuses that I have replaced. Other than those problems, the car is high performance, love the way it handles, the motor is powerful with excellent acceleration. Gets me out of the way of fast moving oncoming big trucks. It also looks great----quite sporty, roomy and comfortable. I have kept it clean and waxed and get lots of complments on it. However, considering trading for a Taurus SHO

Amen. Mine went through 5 batteries in a year once due to all the electrical gremlins. Engine ran to 330K without a skip though.

I used to have the same exact car. It ALWAYS needed something replaced. I got sick of it and ended up buy an Ford Taurus that was older and had MUCH higher mileage. That Taurus was 10 times more reliable. I don't recommend an early 2000s GM car to anyone
@matt9759
@matt9759 7 лет назад
+fordmustang98guy yes. it had every single option. it was a nice car but it always needed fixing. kinda sad that a Ford that was older and had 30,000 more miles ended absolutely nothing compared to the impala

Even tough this car is older than Lincoln Loud, it's still better than any modern car and lasts longer too. They just don't cars like they used to. With modern cars, a lot can go wrong with technology tidbits failing. Where as cars like these are far simpler and made to last long. Oh and GM's newer V6 engines pale in comparison to the good ol' 3800 Series II V6.

I had a base white Impala that was a 2003. I liked the car and not the bench seats. I used to trade in cars every 6 years. That’s a waste. I have a 2010 Malibu which is the base car. I love my Malibu and it’s 14 years old. It’s kind of banged up and a couple of lights are on. But, it still runs. I’m hoping that it can continue to run. Because, at this point in my life I can’t get another one.
