I try to keep up with the rear differentials on both of my shaft drive motorcycles. I shoot for around 15000ish miles for new fluid. This time, I am not only using Lucas Gear Oil, but Lucas Synthetic Gear Oil for better protection.
Of course, you can use your favorite Gear Oil, I just happen to be a Lucas Products fan. It takes longer to film this procedure than to actually do the job, it should take you around 10 minutes is all, Just look into whatever parts, seals, O rings you may need ahead of time and you should be good to go.
