I have the same vehicle, but the V-8 version. Virtually the same condition. So far, I am at 330,000. Best vehicle I have ever owned!

@@bradbrown7273my dad owned a 2008 sport model, the 4x4 system needs to be actuated once in a while or it can break on you. Radio lights and a backlight in the centre console would die randomly a couple times.That's about it. Never had engine related issues. Also had the v6 like in the video

200k plus miles is just starting point for these toyotas it will still go 300k miles with proper maintenance. This is why I chose toyota all the time. 😁

I have an 03 with 427k that I bought from a friend. Toyotas last, and its still solid. I leatned the 4wd engages when its moving at 20 mph then turn on the switch. Weird

Great review, is the 2004 Toyota 4Runner a worthy buy in 2024, maybe, around 84,000 miles for $12,000

How many brake jobs? It was every other year on my 2004 4Runner.

@@NothinButCarReviews Mine stopped fine after each brake job, and the calipers seized and then destroyed the pads and rotors. Flawed by design.
@godgirlsguitars
@godgirlsguitars Год назад
@@digitaldoc100 I noticed that a 2008 Nissan xterra kept doing that too every year or other year. I think there is something with these 4 runner style vehicles that causes it. I would not use my brakes that much by down shifting to slow it down.
@emiliojavier8268
@emiliojavier8268 Год назад
@@godgirlsguitarsMaybe the fact that people uses their brakes too much when they're going downhill instead of shifting to a low gear makes them wear out too fast
