Hello I have a 2010 Honda odessy mp3 wma I here a loud pop from the back speakers then it shuts off. But the radio dash start fadding out but when I turn the car off then back on the sound comes back. Can you please let me know what it sounds like to you. Thank you
First, thanks for the video. My radio had an extra screw that needed to be removed in the bottom middle that attaches to the bracket on the radio. After removing the radio from the van, I removed the bracket from the old radio and attached to the new.
Well done video. Going to take off .5 stars for the soldering job though. (Just kidding, it's pretty good) Going to try to install a double din radio with backup camera for the wife. Stereo system will be worth more than the van at that point.
So thats all well and good....But my odyssey has the navigation screen with the 6disc changer behind it. The actual radio controls are above the cupholders. I'm soooo hoping you see this and have tips.
Hey bro I see your videos (I’m Mexican sorry for my bad English) Look. I have a Lincoln zephyr 2006 The problem is the radio Exist a bottom for the aux BUT there is no enter for that Where is the enter? Thx 🙏
a lot of radios already have the learning system built into them when hooking up the Steering Wheel Controls. IF your radio has the learning capability, you might be able to skip the SWC adapter and connect the wires from the harness into the SWC input of the radio. The ECM takes the inputs from the SWC and outputs them to one or two wires. (my odyssey has a signal wire and ground which I hooked up to the radio SWC 3.5mm jack with a cheap harness from amazon.) If you want to test if this works, cut up an old pair of headphones before buying anything. 50 cents on the male pin wire harness connectors and an old pair of headphones saved me 80 bucks on the SWC scam.
Have to be careful on this advice as there is a big difference between analog and canbus steering wheel control wiring. Yes, some radios now have the capability to connect to analog wiring without the use of a smart harness / swc module. However, if your steering wheel control wiring is fed to the radio via canbus data signal, you will need a module to decode that signal to an analog for which the new radio can read. Just a word of caution.
Thank you! So informative and helpful. I am about to order the products. Are there other radios I can use that is appropriate to today’s technology considering that this video was done a couple of years ago? Thanks!
There was one more screw in the middle at the bottom of that you did not show being removed please update your video and show this because I spent more than an hour trying to find out and I had to look at another video to find this out
What happens with the DVD , the original radio have a rear bottom, to use the DVD , after you press the rear bottom you can use the control remote to do everything on the DVD, and the rear bottom are in the original radio , my question is how you can to continue using the DVD with a different radio ?
Hey I also have 2009 honda odysssey with navigation and dvd player. Were you able to install the carplay in yours? could you share some resources? thanks!
I have a 2010 odyssey with the same radio, no sub, no navigation, but mine has 4 connectors on the radio. What do they do? I also noticed that you left one unplugged. What does that do?
Hi Help my place, I have Honda Odyssey 08, 2Din JVC 6.8 screen, I don't understand which wire to connect the music steering wheel controls, I have only 2 wires in JVC
I have a 2005 honda odyssey i need to find someone that can give advise and assist me in purchasing Bluetooth radio with back up alarm. However i am really interested replacing my car stereo to a more sound system type please advise me.
I'm in the process of installing an Alpine CDE-175BT an i'm confused with the blue/white wire (remote turn-on lead) and the blue wire. In your video, you connect both the blue and the blue/white from the Crux Harness to the blue wire of the radio, correct? What should i do if my metra harness dont have a blue white wire but my radio do?
Could you make one about adding an amp for a sub? If not am i able to do it with the stock stereo? I wanna know before i tear my dash off. Hope to get a reply soon.
Dj1Kreationz can you give us a hint? I have read so many forums, watched so many videos, even read a blog of someone who had to write is own code so that the RES and aftermarket could talk. What is this secret of which you speak?
