Excellent! Turning the wheels all the way to left helps drop the reservoir with ease.

Nice clean truck. Other videos the trucks are rusted.

My 2004 Suburban was leaking the fluid out. When I looked on the underside of the reservoir the fluid had been collecting and looked cracked so I replaced it. It was not cracked. I just found your video. Wish I would have found it earlier so I could have replaced the pumps too. Nice to know how it is done. Thanks!

I've got a 04 Surburban too, and what a complicated design to make something so important & simple such a pain to get to.

Thanks for this video! I was not getting fluid to the front windshield or rear hatch, and thanks to the fresh snow on the driveway, noticed that it was puddling beneath the reservoir. Without dropping the reservoir, I'm not able to get a look at which of the pumps is leaking, and I don't want to do that until I'm ready to change out the pump or pumps. Amazon sells them individually (it sounded like you bought them as a pair) so my plan will be to order one of each, replace the leaking one when they arrive and then return the one I don't use if I don't change out both. By the way, it sounded like you thought it was possible to get at those pumps by just dropping the reservoir partway out the bottom opening. Is that the case and also, could that be done without removing the battery? Thanks again for a very helpful video.

I don't remember, but I would try getting to them from the bottom first and see if you can get the pumps out that way. That would be less work than pulling the battery, tray, etc.

Tom, were you able to drop the reservoir without taking the battery out??

@@do7hemath937 No, I was not. In my case it turned out that I did not have a pump problem. Rather, one of the hoses had gotten pinched or worn through just in front of the top of the battery. I had already pulled the battery to see what was going on, but I probably could've done the job without pulling the battery if I'd been able to see the leak earlier. Anyway, I was able to repair that by cutting out the damaged section of tube and reattaching the ends with a coupling from this pack from Autozone: Dorman AutoGrade Hard Vacuum Tubing Connector Assortment. It's still holding. Good luck to you.

@@tom496 I've done a reservoir job B4, I think the battery was side post (in the back) & the screws cross threaded. It was supposed to be a easy job. It was a little nightmare. Thanks for the info.

The front one can be replaced without pulling the reservoir. It’s not that bad
