This car comes with optional side airbags so if your 2005 Neon has side airbags you won’t die

@@Pelley4560 The new test is 38 mph compared to 31 mph. The sled is different as well, the old sled mimicked the shape of SUVs from 2003 when the test originally came out. The new sled mimics the front of modern day SUVs.

@@ConservativeCoinCollectoryou are exactly right! That new side test made many 2021-2022 crossovers/cars/suvs receive a marginal or poor rating only the mazda cx-5 received a good rating when the updated side test was released.

@@ivan72087 the 2015-2022 Chevrolet Colorado also got a Good in the updated side crash test too. They tested a 2022 but theyve been the exact same since 2015.

In the early days of our side crash test program it was standard procedure to test the vehicle without side airbags if they were only optional equipment. This incentivized automakers to fit lifesaving side airbags as standard equipment.

this car overall is a horrible car, even with side airbags your structure would cave, the airbag would only cover your head and maybe some upper torso, not your legs or pelvis, and if the structure collapses too much, then those airbags are not going do much,
