If you pay F1 $12 a month, you can watch every single race going back to the early 90s. I live in the US so its the only way I can watch live races. . .but the previous races in their entirety is really a nice perk. I love these 05/06 races. Some great ones in the late 90s cars as well.

That really was an incredible performance for Kimi. Starting 11th, stuck behind a Sauber, a tyre failure and a spin and still finished 4th.

I'd say the tire rules as a self curse by the FIA.

Incredible really that Schumacher has managed to get that Ferrari in to 3rd place in the Championship.
@christianschaller8895

That was the stupidest idea from the FIA in 2005 that the teams weren't allowed to change their tires and it was dangerous. It was only done to slow down Schumacher's title collection anyway, as BridgeStone had disadvantages.

This weekend is full Italian! Before watching Imola GP I'm here to enjoy the taste of Autodromo Nazionale. Good day for Montoya and McLaren and zero points for Ferrari at home, unfortunately. Thanks Zeddie, you're the best! 🏁✌

Now we still have the same problem , cars can’t overtake unless with drs or some sort of mega tire advantage.
@tombardsley3081
@tombardsley3081 2 месяца назад
@@737Adventures that's more because the gaps in car performances are a lot smaller nowadays. The gaps between cars performance was significantly larger in 2005 whereas now, there's no real backmarker team, the top 4 teams all have strengths and weaknesses at different points and types of circuits.

Great result for him too at a time where Williams were generally struggling towards the back on the non-backmarker (i.e. Jordan and Minardi) teams - he got quite a few 7ths so was lucky the points system had just changed!

Amazing how Ferrari went from going through the field like a hot knife through butter last year and looking completely dominant to being mere mortals here. They'd be back though.

Like in 1979 they won , then in 1980 they fall very hard. If you see Alonso and Vettel years in Ferrari is more about the team fault than drivers. Same with Mansell, Prost, Alboretto, Alesi and Berger. Good pilots, not so good team.

Engine grid penalties for engine (and gearbox) failures have ruined many championships.

I wonder if Montoya was leading Raikkonen in the closing stages whether he'd have moved over. Never got to find out though.

Would have to have done it on his own without the team telling him. Although it might have still been flagged for investigation since team orders were illegal
