This episode, Denny and I have the pleasure of drinking a 14 year old dry-stored raw pu'erh from Hailang Hao. As many know, Lao Banzhang is one of the most famous of areas. The tea is powerful and has an immediate impact as you can easily tell from watching the video.
Thank you to Dipu for generously sending a sample of this tea.

How would you store the leaves, when you brew them over several days?
@TeaDB

Assuming there's not too much of a break. I'd just leave them in the vessel.

@@TeaDB i truly believe that. still im rather leaning towards scott wilson brewing haha. no matter how heavy a pu erh is, i usually enjoy stronger, thicker brews. still i love your videos and will continue watching, even though i dont agree with your brewing times :D

is raw puerh the IPA of teas?

How do you see IPA in terms of beer?
@xHiiTMalRk3rzx

Depends on how you view IPA

I’d describe IPA as filling two roles: 1.) it’s the super bold and “stanky”, fruity-yet-bitter beer (in contrast to the more malty or caramel varieties) and is usually the one that scares newbies the most but has passionate fans. 2.) it’s also annoyingly widespread as the “token” craft beer, to the point where the industry now acts like IPA is the definitive alternative to generic beers, and so the craft beer section at most stores is overly dominated with like 100 varieties of IPA and then just like a single shelf of stouts and amber ales and such.

It could have been worse, you could have said, "if you're in the raw pu game"🤣
