Best car I have ever had. Bought it brand new in 2006…had it for nine years as eventually had to move on. Mercedeses, Lexus…can’t compare. It was fun. An absolute joy to ride!
I’ve always loved the body style of the FX35. I think it’s gorgeous. I’ve owned a G37 and currently have a 2014 Q50. Both have been very reliable. If I find a good example of the FX35, I’m buying it 🤩
I've had my 2005 AWD Fx35 since 2010. Other than typical items that I've replaced it has been mechanically sound. Maintenance is not really expensive compared to BMW, VW, and some other foreign brands. My biggest disappointment was the bubbly dashboard I received after owning the car for 2 years. The car has great power at 290hp. I believe it went to 325hp in 2012. Not sure about the year. I love the stock exhaust it has. It turns the younger generation heads when they hear it. Overall great car! Just FYI...do not drop anything between the seats and center console. Its gone forever. Lol!
Listen in have a 07 fx35 and i can tell you everything there is to know about it. These are super reliable car if you are smart and savvy. They have the typical vq35de and over years will eat oil naturally. You have to always keep checking the oil. Ive done high flow cats which sound exactly like this car. Trans go upgrade shift kit and Plenum upgrade. The leather will fall apart over time and the dash will bubble, I have only slight leather issues with drivers side with 135k miles. For nearly all fx35 03-08 the radiator internally cracks and the coolant enters the transmission cooler and totals out the transmission. occurs usually around 100k miles but you can check easily. coolant will be frothy pinkish color. Mine never had it and ran a separate trans cooler, with a temp valve for winter to prevent the issue. I have a big akebone brake kit with motul 600. Best braking car i ever owned. Just put some Bc coils and the car rides amazing. Im looking to sell here shortly, It breaks my heart and want someone who will care for it as much as i do. Ill just be upgrading to a fx50 if the deal goes through.
I owned a 2004 and a 2010 FX35. You forget how heavy they are until something happens that reminds you how heavy they are. I loved them both but the 2010 was the better vehicle overall. I liked the 1st generation's exhaust note and transmission (felt more direct and aggressively geared) compared to the second generation.
It's like a G35 with an SUV body, even stock exhaust roars well. I followed a friend who had an FX35 & I had to meet her at her house, my car couldn't keep up
Does anyone know how to turn off the airbag logo on the dashboard? I’ve had a recall on it and they only put new ones in and that’s it? I have 260,780 miles on it, I had so much done to it vvtgasket, catalyst converter , coil ignition etc after all of that. Was told that I need a transmission 😮im still driving it . I don’t think I want to put no more money into it.
ay loved your Spanish expression Ay Caramba! jajajaja estoy mirando comprar una de estas solo nos estoy seguro acerca de la confiabilidad de este carro...
Own an 05 fx35… beautiful car, but it’s a complete rust bucket. Prepare to replace the lower subframe & a host of extremely costly repairs averaging $1,600 & up.
Was looking into purchasing one as a beater and they are so beautiful and reliable but you’re right… rust is it’s major flaw. I’ve seen a lot of Infiniti’s that have rusted subframes which sucks. Amazing engines but the rust jsut kills any buying prospect …
