Couldn't find many videos about the KTM 450 RFS bikes, so I thought I would make a video about mine. It is a 2006 KTM 450 SMR. This is just a walk-around kind of video...I will make a cold start/running video of it separately so check my channel for that. Let me know what you think or ask any questions you have and I'll try to answer them as best as I can!

Could it be a bent subframe ? Mine was tweaked like a mofo and it made the exhaust it has on right now rub against it

Nice vid sir!. Im looking around to buy either a Yamaha WR450F , KTM 450 EXC, DRZ400. It is going to be my first bike. I dont have any other experience with bikes other then the motorcycle school bikes lol. I really got inspired by supermoto's. Thanks to very cool channels. saraazh, berad, supermofools, blhd etc. haha. So do you have opinions on what i should take? I read something about maintenance intervals that there is quite alot of differences in each brand of bikes. I was looking around for a bike that i can maintain is able to drive a long distance if needed. And a bike that is capable of doing fun stuff :P

Thanks for the comment! Well, there are a few options for supermotos. You can either buy a supermoto that is already put together and street legal. Or, depending on your state, you can take any dirt bike and make it street legal. If you are new to bikes, I would recommend either a Yamaha WR250X or R, or the DRZ400. Both bikes are factory street legal, easy enough to handle, but will still be a ton of fun to ride, and those are both low maintenance bikes. From what I have heard, along with watching Jake The Garden Snake's videos, the WR450 doesn't require all that much maintenance (I think maybe more frequent oil changes and maybe more frequent valve adjustments). Still, not a bad bike either. The 450's are definitely going to have power and you need to be careful as a new rider, but it is easily manageable. I came from a 2002 Honda CR125 to this SMR 450 and I am totally OK, granted I dont ride hard yet like some guys do.

Thanks for the time! Yea a friend of mine drives a KTM ktm 690 smcr it has about 65 HP 68 NM its insane lol. But he has been to a Supermoto school. And he was talking to a very talented supermoto driver and serveral time world champion etc. And he's got Yamaha's WR450f as schoolbikes. He said those bikes are treated so badly everyday and trashed or what ever and they keep running as long you maintain them. They have power to do wheelies and are easyh to drive and have a linear power line. Also i want to make my hobby so i need to learn how to maintain a supermoto as well. So i will look around for a WR450F that is already made supermoto so i able to learn about the bike. I dont know the costs to make a 450F Enduro to a Street legal Super moto

This bike did not originally come with any lights, they were all added to make it street legal. You need to run an aftermarket stator to support the lights, the one I have is made by Trail Tech. You also need a different stator cover, I believe the EXC model covers will work. Then you have to add a regulator/rectifier to change the AC power from the stator into DC power. The regulator/rectifier I used is from Trail Tech as well. The main wire harness for the lights is made by Tusk, it is their enduro lighting harness. This comes with the harness, rear tail light, and I think the turn signals. The front light from a KTM EXC model. It now has an LED headlight from Baja Designs.
