Yep had mine was pretty reliable. Got 264 K miles out of it before I sold it. I beat it up had body and frame damage. And had mechanical issues too . I spent a few hundred dollars on trying to fix it but couldn’t find the problem.. it stayed at idle no matter how much I pressed the gas pedal. And sometimes stalled . In Monterey Mexico the car was everywhere as a taxi . Talked to a taxi driver who said what we already knew. Very solidly reliable.
I have a 06 Nissan Sentra 1.8 S Special Edition and owned it since BRAND NEW back in june 06 always been reliable! My car is in excellent condition looks almost new inside & out with originally 51,000 miles since I hardly travel. Been a real great car and can't wait for more years to come with it. Also u did real good on your research & video keep up the good work!!!
Great review bro, very informative. My first car was a 2004 Nissan Sentra Ser Spec V. I still have it and enjoy driving it. The B15 Sentra is the best gen Sentra imo
Even Scotty Kilmer likes the B15 😂 it’s definitely a fun car with power and it’s a great first car! I’m glad you were able to own one and I appreciate your support bro 💯👌🏻
I currently drive a 04 Sentra 1.8s and before that I drive a 05 Nissan Sentra and both cars have been very dependable! Love the 04 I currently own, cheap to maintain, gas saver, easy to drive, kickass audio system, ahh yess
Showstopper131 I agree with you 100% my dude 👌🏻 they were definitely built with quality that made them so dependable! I love how cheap they are too and it’s definitely a great first car
Here in Australia these are known as Nissan Pulsar. Have a 1995 N14 Pulsar with 47000 original miles. Most teliable car, great fuel economy, cheap on repairs. Great video! Great to see the US variants of this model
I've had my 1.8 S with rear spoiler for a year now and had no idea until seeing this video about the different functions and buttons! For example, the black button on the dash and the knob adjusting the mirror. Thanks for this video; good review!
I bought a 2006 first owner and I am at 245000 miles so far and going strong with no major repair. Just basic oil change and tires breaks. Mostly freeway. But still pretty great.
I gave you a thumps up because we almost have the same car. I have a 2006 Nissan Sentra, 1.8 S in White, still in very good condition, low mileage. Got it when it was popular back then and still driving it in 2023. Not sure how many more years can I get out of this car with low mileage.
Excellent video man👍 I'm actually planning to get a 2006 nissan sentra 1.8s and there are reasons i want to get this car: 1. I like the styling of this car it just looks cool to me and how simple it is and number 2. The factory stereo comes with an aux port so i can listen to my jams while driving this car around town. Anyways nice review you did on this car✌
Jaime Ramirez I greatly appreciate the support and comment 💯🙏🏼 these cars are definitely built to last if taken care of and I’m sure you’ll enjoy yours!
I have a 06 1.8s and I'm trying to learn as much as possible since I want to be able to modify it a little and make sure it will last for years. This is my first car and want to get the best of it.
That's awesome that you're trying to learn about this car! They are so awesome and I am glad you are getting one as your first car like I did. They are very reliable cars as long as you take care of them and they are very affordable. I would make sure to keep up on regular maintenance and do your best to drive careful and you will be good. Congratulations on your first car! Please let me know if you have any questions, thank you for watching I appreciate the support 💯
@@alberteinstein9235 Ikr lmao, I kept mine stock except for the radio but it is hard to find mods on this one.... I guess they saved them for the GT-R haha thanks for watching I appreciate your support 💯
Sentra 06 1.8 special edition was my very first car 4 years ago. It had 74 000 miles on it when I bought it. I loved the simplicity of the car, the engine is still in very good condition. This car can easily go up to 150 000 miles if you maintain it. I gave the car to my younger bro.
That is awesome that you were able to experience this car! They're very solid and I agree that they can easily get to the high miles. Thank you for watching I greatly appreciate your support 💯
Ever Valle valle wow.. this is so awesome my dude your comment really made my day! I am very glad you are happy with your purchase 🙏🏼 they’re fantastic cars and are very easy to maintain :) enjoy your new car and thank you so much for watching and supporting the channel your support is greatly appreciated 💯
2003 Sentra GXE, 1.8L driven by a grandmother driving short trips: notorious for weak fuel pump systems that requires 2-3 starting attempts. Trunk latch stuck at 60,000 miles. Blown head gasket at 75,000 miles ( car ten years old ). Air conditioning leak at 80,000 miles. Once this car reaches 10 years old, it starts to self destruct , even with low mileage. Peace.
Mines an 05 1.8 special edition and I’m just wondering did anyone’s else come with a subwoofer built into the trunk from the factory or am I the only one??
Hello I'm new to owning a Nissan Sentra, mine is a 2000 GXE I've owned it for about a month and it's a great little car 🚗 maybe because of it being a GXE I noticed it has a lot of the features your 06 has, for a 1.8 automatic it's impressive and I've had V8's so I was like Spunky lol 😂 thanks for a great Video
I like this car I need to get my license. I can finally focus on driving 😍😍😍😍😍. I really need to get my license I’m not scared any more I just need to go when I’m suppose to and pass the test and not go pass the white line
This was the perfect review I needed to hear. Found a 2005 Nissan Sentra, 1.8 SL and I was hooked when I saw the spoiler on it. Ima style guy but I looked it up to see if it’s reliable above all else. I’m going to try and get it, it’ll be my first car and it’s $4,600. Ima try to talk it down to atleast $4K.
I had a 2000 Infiniti G20 which was pretty much the same car I liked it but it gave too many problems so I had to sell it it wasn't a bad car but if it weren't for the problems I would have still had it
I’m in the same metro area as you (recognized the dealership sticker). How does this car handle in winter weather? Looking for a car right now and sadly AWD is out of my price range, so looking for something that can handle the various seasons around here.
I need help!!! How did you put the back seats down like that bc I need to get to my trunk! My trunk won’t open so I have to figure out how to get the seats down 😭
Bailey Peckham congrats! I had a Sentra too as my first car! They are very easy to maintain that’s what I love about them, enjoy yours and thanks for the support 🙏🏼
I just got a 2006 Nissan Sentra Special Edition and does a hard start not sure if needs a new starter only had a engine light for 02 sensor bank 1 sensor 1 not sure if tht would be the issue
This will be my 4th car I've had 2 vans and a chevy Cruze loved the cruze great car but payments for all of them we're too much I have the opportunity to buy a 06 sentry for $1000 Canadian, with 130,000 kms so researching if its any good
Im looking to buy a 2006 Sentra 1.8s with 85,000 miles for $4k and I’ve heard that the alternator is too close to the exhaust manifold and it burns it up, also heard that the fuel pump goes bad. Have you had any issues with that?
I bought a cheap fuel pump from ebay and it works great. I have an 04 sentra and the car would take a long time to start, changed the fuel pump and haven't had a problem since.
