2006 Smart Car Fortwo Cabriolets Broken Soft Top.
The little wire on mine is fetching up and won't come out to go into the tracks above the doors, it was working good until last night, I think the cable went back in to far and is now jammed and won't go out into door tracks.

can you help me with my 2005 smart car cabrio i had to replace the entire roof so i found one from the auto wreckers I got most of it installed, but there are two cable s that supposed to slide in something that is where i am having difficaulty

The issue is that that cable has a plastic head (hook) that is breaking... I had the same issue with mine... New cable + laber 900€ 😑. After fixing it, i got ride of the car.

I wish I did a video on the fix, the cable/wire that hooks onto the top and actually pushes it out up close it and pulls to open it came disconnected, and the soft top on one side when it latches to the roof (when it is starting to close over head) onto the track the guide would not go on the track. Alot of playing around with it finally got it working. I've been told if the soft top mechanism breaks most people will get rid of the car, I guess it can be quit pricey to fix, I really lucked out, but took hours and hours of playing around with it to get it working.

@@PovertyPointCustoms здравствуйте, очень нужен ваш совет ,в интернете нет такой информации, купил смарт с нерабочей крышей и ищу схему подключения. Как можно механически отщелкнуть крючки которые держат крышу в углах? На видео вы их пометили стрелкой .очень нужно их зафиксировать .заранее спасибо !

I have the same problem. When I pressed the close button, it opened instead. Planning to have a mechanic fix it along with fixing the part where my windshield fluid is not being sprayed.
