So I'm looking to buy one with 90k miles (same year as yours). Has a bigger turbo 3in turbo back exhaust , bigger injectors , and a new high flow fuel pump. A aftermarket front mount intercooler. It's also been professionally tuned and makes roughly 349hp and 360 lbs of tq. It's auto aswell the timing belt was replaced aswell as the water pump. He's selling it for 5k and it has a clean title am I getting a good price ?

If you're just a person looking for a maintenance free ride, get something Japanese. Nothing is maintenance free, but at least Japanese parts are significantly cheaper. I must preface this tome by saying that ALL of the maintenance and repairs I performed or had done were PREVENTATIVE. Nothing ever broke on me or left me stranded. One time I had a dead battery, but that was not the fault of the vehicle. VW dealers are notoriously difficult, I had trouble with warranty work- had to kick and scream to get anything done. If you do end up getting one, the timing belt needs to be done around 80k, some say less, some say more. Depends on the car's history. Also, turbocharged engines are known for burning oil. VW specifies that anything under a quart every 800-1000 miles is normal, so do not depend on the service interval of 10,000 miles to change your oil, because you'll be dry twice. All of this aside, it is a great car, and I loved it dearly until I sold it. It is still in my circle of friends; I sold it with 145k on the clock, and it's still alive and well with close to 160k on it. Just know what you're getting yourself into. Passats are typically owned by WASPy women who have no concern for the longevity of their vehicles; mine was previously leased and never maintained properly by a 30-something blonde chick from an affluent part of Long Island. Luckily I purchased an extended warranty, got the car on a deal, and just had to deal with the headache aspect of getting it up to date. Many people have suffered the financial burden of this as well. My advice: Do your research, decide if the pros outweigh the cons, and get it if you still want it. I got it because I wanted something more interesting than an Accord or a Camry or something like that. I was a salesman at the time, and I put 35k a year on it with no hiccups or problems whatsoever. It was sometimes a headache, but it was never boring.

Yeah man, do a lot of research. If you're mechanically inclined I recommend doing a lot of repairs yourself. Main thing to look out for it turbo wear and timing belt service as the 2.0T is an interference engine
Also keep an eye on oil levels because the 2.0T is notorious for high oil consumption, mine was nearly a quart every 1k miles and my rings were warranty replaced twice
ask if timing belt has been done (should be changed around 80k), also, condition of turbo seals for abnormal oil consumption- after I had a third set of piston rings installed under warranty, they assured me burning a quart of oil every 800 miles was normal. I kept a jug of oil in the trunk for top ups at the pump. Other than those two things specifically, it was normal maintenance items- struts, tie rod ends, brakes, tires, and stuff like that. not too bad. do your research, there isn't great aftermarket support, but ecstuning.com does a decent job, and vw vortex is a good forum for community advice and info/help
+Scott Richer I told him I was going to get a pre purchased car inspection done before I buy it they will check everything to make sure the car is fine ... hopefully everything goes well but I will do my research
