I had an 06 strat, with a fairing and 3 bikes later that strat was still the best bike I've owned. Mine had Vance and Hines 2 into 1 pro pipe. And the Patrick racing big air kit and it was a beast!!
I have a 05 Yamaha Road Star 1700 same engine just a gnats ass smaller than the 1900. I have 2 Harley Davidsons I love but I ride the road star more and it runs, rides, alot more than the hds. And I put the Cobra longshots on it and man it sounds awesome and has a good lope at idle!
I had a new 04 Roadstar all white; traded for a new , silver 06 Stratoliner S. The bike’s been my only one to this day. Am considering moving to a Goldwing DCT.
Hi Ken, well I sold the KLR and ended up buying a 2006 roadliner midnight 1900. I'm watching you on this beast of machine and thinking I did good. Love what you guy's are always doing. ❤️
I'm a die hard Harley guy, but I gotta say I'm shocked with this bike, never seen one cause I don't look for them ya know..it's a really sweet bike, I bet it just cruises like a dream..it's really sharp. An obvious nod to Harley, all the same it's nice...
That is. Hoppe Industries fairing. They are meticulous manufacturing their products. That specific fairing is custom to the Yamaha. Look at the lines on the fairing that flow with the lines of the bike. As always Kaps, awesome presentation!
..lol.. You had me going for a while thinking you knew what you were talking about until.., but no, there was never a 1500cc yamaha Silverado.. And so you never had one.. But yea, I've had Stratoliner 1900s for 11 years now, and liked it better than my 2014 Honda F6B goldwing..sold the goldwing too
@@lazar2453 Yes, the alternator is louder than on many other cycles, and no cruise control option.. the seat pan is quite wide for smaller frame, shorter riders.. only mechnical issue I know of is a few early model year bikes have experiences a gear issue.. but that's about it.. Original battery can last up to 8 years, but don't buy a cheap replacement. Great bike, first cruiser with all Aluminum Frame, power house with a broad torque. and comfortable rev range, pulls hard all the way to redline. I you like to ride 75+ you might wonder why they didn't space the gears out or add a 6th gear, but will red line past 122 (maybe 127) in 5th. Good suspension and handles great for 840lbs, very low center gravity. Has a great sound with good aftermarket exhaust (if you like that sort of thing) I've noticed not all large engine V-twins will deliver a great sound even with the best aftermarket exhaust and people might spend thousands just trying to do it.
Ken nice bike! I love your videos of you 🤨old😃guys ripping off road.👍a question I have the Yamaha Raider which is the same motor tranny fuel injection and it has a pogo throttle(hard on off) does the stratoliner have this pogo throttle. Yamaha said it is common when I took it in for warranty but I have only ridden mine so nothing to compare it to? Thanks for any help.
The throttle is smooth as butter one of the best I've ever written absolutely love this bike check the reviews online everybody loves a Stratoliner with his written one
That is one sweet Strat..Exactly what I am looking for with all the goodies, especially the fairing with stereo..My next bike will definitely have an awesome stereo..
